Macro Mondays, theme: Glass
A Swarovski crystal glass star, from Serbia, is suspended in front of a crystal water glass, which is in front of a candle. The star does not have much color when you look at it by itself - I find it marvelous how the colors here are generated mainly by refraction, and perhaps also by reflection.
Manual Hasselblad Makro-Planar f/4, 120 mm, set to f/4.

It's only March 2nd but spring is in full swing on our swamp. This Great Egret was displaying while a female watched from above. I've seen this male Anhinga and a female in breeding plumage but I'm not sure if they're a pair, or just thinking about it. Every day more and more Egrets are arriving, and a few are already incubating eggs.
This video was digiscoped using a GH4 + 20/1.7 mounted on a Swarovski STX85 using a Digidapter. The video was shot in 4K and I zoomed in to about 140% in post processing.

Just five little clear Swarovski Crystals which are only about an eighth of an inch each in size . I am informed the they have an ‘Aurora Borealis’ coating which makes them display colours when light strikes them .

On a recent trip to Scoresby Sund in Eastern Greenland (one of the largest fjord structures in the world) we saw an iceberg made from old ice that had many crystal-like structures. Inside a small blue cave in the iceberg there was a small pyramid-shaped column of ice sticking up from the water, with some nice reflections that reminded me of a Swarovski crystal.

I've been asked to create necklaces for two co-maids of honor in an October wedding. It's an evening wedding, and they'll be wearing gorgeous, strapless brown taffeta dresses.
This is one of the sample designs ... Swarovski® Austrian crystal beads in Smoked Topaz and Light Smoked Topaz, sterling silver bead caps, and a golden Swarovski® Baroque pendant.
These are from my second hobby, making competition ballroom dance dresses...this little jar holds about three gross SS20 stones, just 5mm diameter.
Little rainbow coloured AB crystals...
I will apply about 60 gross of this size crystal stone alone on one dress, by hand..

Swarovski crystallized beads on a chain. As a decoration, decoupage decorated wood box and a frame. Mozart overlooks the whole scene.

Swarovski has once again put out their Christmas tree in the middle of Toronto's Eaton Centre. The mammoth tree is decorated with a countless amount of Swarovski crystals that shine and twinkle with the spotlights shining on them from every angle.
Tourists and visitors alike can be seen taking photos of this tree and its ornaments with their cameras, phones, and everything in between.
