the beginnings of my pouch for my simple sweet scrappy partner! =)

Essex linen and Tsuru, quilt as you go method on front pocket (also added a back pocket), quilted gussets, used double layers of interfacing. This tote is awesome!! Great pattern, easy to follow, perfect size!

A- I would LOVE a quilted bag of some sort. I love the Weekender but please don't feel like you HAVE to make me one (unless you just want to!) I also love the supertote, travel duffels, and pretty much everything else! For my small item I would love a pouch, an embroidery hoop pocket thingy, sewing kit, or just anything you want to make me!!!

B- I am very easy to please, so don't stress! I like almost everything! You can get a really good sense of my likes by my faves! I love bright colors and graphic designs, I also really love low volume and linen! Dislikes- I'm not big into muddy colors or novelties (echino is an exception!)

C- I blog right here and you can find me on Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter under @craftnursequilt (instagram is where I am most stalkable though)

D- I live in the US (Tennessee to be exact!)

I can't wait for this round to get started!

I would love a pillow and/or sewing kit partner. I love color - usually scrappy and deeply saturated on light/text backgrounds. I love handstitching also! This is a good representation of things I love and my fave's are full of colorful goodness too!

For top, narrowed waist, lengthened a tad and used a heavier weight 4-way stretch rayon jersey from Fabric.com. Needle is a jersey 12, metrosene thread, used straight stitch but with slight tension (hands) similar to Stretch and Sew techniques.

Skirt, didn't have enough wool, so used a suede fabric from Fabric Mart and left over from Better Half's coat from several years back. After this photo, I decided to redo hem using wigam - managed to eliminate the slight ridge line of the hem that shows here.

What Fun the FLiRTs Rounds are! Partner These are a few things I find FUN and would love to have something similiar to. I can't wait to see what you make for me :) I've Loved all the items that I've received during this Swap... Check out my Profile for my Likes and Dislikes :)

Notes: Found the right stretch and thickness for the Style Arc Alexi top at Fabric.com. In previous makes had narrowed the sleeve and tapered in at the waist. This time, I also lengthened the top.

Pieced the skirt as I didn't have enough of the wool. Didn't want to the usual use the suede horizontally at the bottom as a border for two reasons: Didn't have enough fabric pieces long enough and also thought it would scream "not enough fabric to make this!". I like the diagonal as it looks as if a deliberate design choice, which I guess it is.

I picked out the colors for your quilt partner, but I'm a little nervous about how they are going to go together. I think they are deceiving without the white, so I am going to make up part of the mini and then see how you like that. They are coming together a LOT better than I thought they would. ;)
