In the dense, green forests deep and wide,
The tiger roams with a regal stride.
Golden coat with ebony streaks,
A silent hunter, power it speaks.
Eyes like embers, sharp and keen,
Gliding through shadows, barely seen.
Each step measured, soft yet strong,
The jungle echoes its haunting song.
Guardian of the wild, fierce and free,
A symbol of nature's majesty.
Through mangroves dense, or grassy plains,
The tiger rules where wildness reigns.
Yet whispers tell of dwindling ground,
Of forests lost, no prey is found.
The king now fights a battle grim,
A world forgetting the need for him.
O mighty tiger, bold and true,
Your roar still calls, we must renew.
Protect the forests, let rivers run,
For life with you and us is one.
Let cubs frolic in twilight's glow,
Let jungles thrive where you bestow.
For when the tiger fades from sight,
The world will dim, robbed of its light.

Beneath the sky of endless white,
A phantom moves through day and night.
With fur like snow, thick, pure, and bright,
He treads the ice in quiet might.
Upon the frozen sea he waits,
By breathing holes, he meets his fate—
A silent hunter, patient, still,
The seal’s breath breaks the Arctic chill.
He swims through waters deep and cold,
A giant, fearless, strong, and bold.
Each stroke a promise to survive,
In icy currents, staying alive.
His world is shrinking, ice retreats,
The ocean rises, warmth it greets.
He roams the wild, yet feels the loss,
A kingdom melting, seas that cross.
And though he stands with steady gaze,
The sun now cuts through winter’s haze.
But in his stride remains a fight—
The Arctic King, for dawn’s new light.
For every cub that calls him near,
For winds that hum through skies so clear,
He walks the edge of what may be,
A testament to wild and free.

Energy efficiency apps will provide statistics about your lifestyle emissions, helping you to reduce your consumer-related footprint. Awareness of your home energy consumption will help you change your lifestyle, thus you can do your part in saving the planet. Eventually AI will control every aspect of your life. It will plan out your days. It will control how long you sleep and what you eat. It will control your home utilities. We must be willing to change how we live and work, so that we can combat the effects of geoengeneered climate change. For a greener tomorrow we must lower our lifestyle emissions. We must lower our expectations and become a lifestyle emissions slave. Climate crisis rationing, do your part to save the earth! You are nothing but bottom feeders, carbon polluters! Our plan is not only to depopulate the earth but to replace humanity with human-machine hybrids. It’s for the greater good of the planet! You will be deemed obsolete, because you aren’t part of a sustainable future—net zero human-machine hybrids are the future. Survival of the fittest—Outwit, Outplay, Outlast!

A beautifully textured autumn scene is interrupted by a discarded green can among fallen leaves. This image serves as a powerful commentary on human impact on nature—where beauty and pollution collide. A thought-provoking visual reminder of the importance of environmental responsibility.
This eyecatching mural was spotted a few months back and quickly snapped up by the Nikons in attendance. It was only when I got home and popped it on the 27" iMac that I realized the real message and meaning of the mural. Please view the full version, seen in comments, in large size to see the message. Hint: check out what makes the texture of the skin in each person and see the change where the hand is placed on the shoulder.
Fourteen artists worked approximately 1055 hours between July and September 2010 to produce a beautiful new Mural to complement downtown Edmonton's urban landscape. The "Transition" Mural (apparently the only local, large-scale artwork applied on a porcelain wall) serves as a beacon to remind us that a more sustainable future is possible.
The 2010 Mural Project is produced and coordinated by the Edmonton Small Press Association (ESPA) with support by the Community Public Art Program and the Edmonton John Howard Society.
