Bodhi my dog has a new friend. Sushi. Now sushi is still learning how to play with others, but he is doing really well. He is brave most of the time. Both Bodhi and Lulu have welcomed Sushi into there club.
If you don't find me immediately don't be discouraged,
If you don't find me in one place look in another,
Somewhere I'll stand still waiting for you.

For the Macro Monday theme "main meal" (November 25th 2019)
I nearly didn't post this week - shooting food is really hard with a 3" size limit! I often make Japanese meals, so I tried shooting my main meal of Udon noodles with a side dish of prawns. But Udon noodles up close in macro look disconcertingly like intestines! Enough to put me off my meal ;o)
So next I made home-made sushi - extra small rolls so I could fit more into my 3" (see them set against my size guide in the first comment field).
Then someone pointed out to me that not only was there to be no dishes, cutlery etc. But there could be NO space round the food. Wall-to-wall sushi? I ended up lying on the floor with a torch to get an angle that filled the frame!! I'm not sure the final shot is worth posting ... but here it is!!
There's a link to my shot of my "Wall of sushi" specially for Hans in the first comment field too.
HMM to everyone, and have a great week ;o)

Sushi
Sushi is the Japanese preparation and serving of specially prepared vinegared rice sushi-meshi) combined with varied ingredients such as chiefly seafood (often uncooked), vegetables, and occasionally tropical fruits. Styles of sushi and its presentation vary widely, but the key ingredient is sushi rice, also referred to as shari, or sumeshi
Sushi can be prepared with either brown or white rice. It is often prepared with raw seafood, but some varieties of sushi use cooked ingredients, and many other are vegetarian. Sushi is often served with pickled ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. Daikon radish is popular as a garnish.
Sushi is often confused with sashimi, a related Japanese dish consisting of thinly sliced raw fish or occasionally meat, and an optional serving of rice.
The type of sushi in this picture is known as uramaki , that means inside out. It has its regular filling and seaweed.
