A soil surface chamber that researchers use to measure emission rate of nitrous oxide (N2O), which is a potent greenhouse gas and ozone depleting compounds. Annual cropping systems are the largest source of anthropogenic N2O emissions into the atmosphere.

October 20th, rushed off to Bodnant hoping the colours would be at their best. Forecast for the following few days was rain and wind which would bring the leaves down. I was not disappointed!
