This is a super star destroyer in a peaceful buzz...

This one let me fantasm about the destruction power of this spaceship. I am the one (safe for now) on the other side of the river who takes pleasure watching this power detonation :)

The Dark Side (New Republic/First Order)

- Super Star Destroyer as King

- Advance Tie Fighter as Queen

- Star Destroyer as Rook

- Tie Bomber as Bishop

- Tie Fighter / Interceptor as Knight

This one is a contradiction for me, but I really like it. A mix with a future spaceship who takes a visit in past time...

Hmm,

Tune in to channel 11. They have a special show, now.

This Executor-Class Star Dreadnought was given out at the Star Wars Days 2015 by IdS in LEGOLAND Germany. The model was limited to 220 copies.

It was designed by me, based on a version of markus1984.

I've gotten many requests for midi-scale Executor instructions, which has now been (mostly) addressed by fellow flickr user davidkfraser who has built a nearly identical Super Star Destroyer in LDD:

This has started a discussion of the differences between his model and mine (particularly the interior A-frame), which has finally gotten me to pull the superstructure off my Executor and take some pictures for you guys. :D

-----------------

So here it is: my messy Technic A-frame. It is designed to be as thin as possible (keeping the ship from being too tall) and to allow me to build everything with studs-out, including the bottom. Unfortunately I don't have the angle quite right, which is why there is such a gap between the hull plates. I think I had the angle just right at one point, but then extended the length of the model (forcing me to adjust the A-frame) and the Technic math just doesn't quite work out. I may give davidkfraser's clips and plates A-frame a try, though I'm wary of disassembly any of this thing!

Une petite fantaisie d'après une retouche photo de l'Executor sur son étagère... retouche au niveau ventral (sommaire) et intégration dans un fond étoilé.

(there is always a progress and this Executor have new version again...)

This is a close-up of the central "city". The greebles are mostly random, but I have tried to preserve the "streets and buildings" look shown in models like this one.

My take on Vader's flagship from The Empire Strikes Back: the Star Destroyer Executor. Nineteen kilometers from stem to stern, Executor is over 11 times the length of a typical Imperial Star Destroyer (also shown, approximately to scale).

The Lego Group sells an Executor set, but at $400 and four feet in length, it's a bit impractical. Though this 22-inch version has taken me weeks and countless revisions, I'm pretty happy with the result. I'll take better pictures when time permits.

During a recent office move, someone apparently opened the KR-KN's display case, releasing the precious Xenon gas and thus triggering the air-activated auto destruct mechanism. So I guess SHIP now also stands for Sudden Huge Increase in Parts!

Man...this was actually a hard build. It was really tricky to get the angled overall shape of the ship, and then have the greeble area around the bridge to be level and centered.

I did manage to get it to work, it just took a lot longer than I had originally planned. The entire ship is built in light gray and dark blu-ish gray.

I think it looks really good...from all angles. The engines on the bottom rear are also a great touch. (I know the actual craft has way more than 4 engines.) I originally had light blue translucent pieces around the edge, just like in the movie, but it would have made it look weird without making the overall build even bigger.

Hope all of you Star Wars fans enjoy this build! This is my first ever attempt, and I'm still slightly new at micro builds.

Dimensions: 8 1/2 in. in length, and 2 3/4 in. wide.

Feedback always appreciated. :D Thanks for viewing!

The back side of the Executor is, now, complete...

Okay, I think I finally have a decent 2-inch Star Destroyer to go with my 22-inch Super Star Destroyer Executor! It's not the prettiest Star Destroyer in the world, but it's just the right size and the bow comes to a nice point.
