Taken during the World Superbikes Tissot Superpole Race on the Sunday of the UK Round of the 2022 Superbike World Championship, held at Donington Park.
These are my two matching Tissot watches. If I were Tom Sykes, I’d have at least 24 of these things. If he keeps them all running, Tom has to be spending close to $1000 a year on batteries and water resistance testing. I struggle these days, they look great and elicit all sorts of comments but my Apple Watch is so practical. I can leave my phone home and make calls. It tells me when I need to do things. It lets me read and respond to messages. It prods me when I’m being lazy. That said it annoys the crap out of me when it suggests that I’m “usually farther along by now”. Maybe it is time to go back to an analog world for time.
Another shot I converted to monochrome. I took this shot of Max Biaggi as he got onto the start and finish straight of Kyalami during the Superpole session (Qualifying) of the 2010 SBK / WSBK championship.
