The warm orange light is soooooo cosy! I like it! :) Sorry, Tenth, but this is my favorite sonic screwdriver now. xD
I also really appreciate that in reality it is the same color as my moderator (and later supermoderator) nickname, as well as the Banhammer for Lego Contest Creations (now rightful Admin Banhammer, though not repainted in red) I once painted in the same color because I'm a cosplayer and crafter, and I had to create my own orange Mjölnir. :)
This Friday (29.03) it's been 10 years since the first LEGO convention I attended as participant and not just as a visitor - DoubleBrickFest-2014. This was also my second LEGO convention/exhibition, because I've been a visitor at DoubleBrickFest-2012, though I showed up very late at the end of the last day. Both were held by the oldest LUG in my country, and 2014 was its last festival.
There's a difference between when you're a visitor, even if you came as a member of the LUG community, and when you're a participant, i.e. you're bringing some MOCs. My creations are... well, not that impressive, so usually I've been a visitor since, but I really enjoy when other visitors, especially those not from the community, like my creations. I'm very happy to see their reaction in real life, so I usually wander around my builds to be able to see how they like it. At 2014 festival everybody liked my giant Kingdoms chess, and some liked my little Hunger Games scene. I remember how I went behind the banner, where our backpacks and boxes were, to eat in peace, and suddenly a happy loud voice was heard throughout the hall - "LOOK, THERE'S KATNISS!" Oh, I miss moments like those! :D
But for me this particular festival was important not because of it. Something else has happened, which I didn't consider important at the time, but it turned out years later to be very important. Anyway, without that festival I wouldn't become a member of another LUG two years later - the one where I later became a moderator, then supermoderator and then administartor. Both LUGs are not recognized officially anymore, and neither LUG held festivals since 2014 and 2019, respectively (I do not count 2021, because it didn't bear the name of either LUG, like it was before, so it's a separate thing in my opinion, and by the way I wasn't there anyway).
The only thing I regret regarding 2014 festival is that I said "no" when one particular person asked would I like to have my festival poster signed by community members (a tradition they had in previous festivals). I just wanted my poster to stay like it was when it was hanging in the hall where the festival took place. Now I want Tardis to go back in time and say to myself that though it's impossible to explain why, I should say "yes", will thank myself later...
I did not forget about this important milestone, of course. But I wasn't supposed to take a picture to celebrate it, I was going to make just a post on the forum this Friday, but when I started to type it, I realised I could take a picture instead. I've got an idea to recreate the art from the poster in real life, so I build it. Sorry, I don't remember who the artist was, I hope they won't mind my little tribute.
You can see the original poster better in my another anniversary tribute. I would recommend to check it out to see if you can spot every character I recreated. ;)
This year I took a lot of pictures, including some really important for me, and they became more popular here than ever, so thank you all for your likes, my dear followers! These pictures perfectly illustrate my journey through this year. Also I became a virtual builder, so yay! :D
Thanks to everyone who continues to like my photos, your support means a world!
Happy New Year!
Best wishes,

Spanish coins of XVII century (replica by Denix). I need a coin bag like this for my cosplay, though not for a pirate (at least not yet xD ), I think it's a battle trophy, because why not. And here are sheriff badge, because hey, I'm still dreaming for a leather cowboy hat instead of my current one (it's made from felt). :D And being a supermoderator is something like being a sheriff, so this role fits me. :)
