Europe, The Netherlands, Rotterdam, Centre, Markthal, Chinese supermarket, Kitchen utensils (uncut)
Shot in the Markthal, in the 'Wah nam hong' supermarket, one of the two Chinese supermarket chains in Roterdam. Gotta love those large Hanzi logograms on the wall.

"Vine-ripened" they say, "tomatoes on the vine" they say. Well these ARE supermarket tomatoes...they look great but don't have much flavor. See the next photo posted to see what great tomatoes OUGHT to look like!

which are lovely but I'm missing being able to go shopping to different places and, maybe, get some choicer flowers ....
My local Asda Supermarket here in Newark has a large underground car-park with this moving walkway or Travelator to get from one to the other. Been waiting for it to be empty to get a shot!
I loved coming here, and probably rented the place well over a dozen times over a period of 2 or 3 years and in all seasons.
lt was owned by the old Lord and Lady Sainsbury ( Of the Supermarket fame.) and l'm assuming we loved the place as much as they did, as they spent a lot of time here themselves.
Anyway, the reason l'm telling you all this is, is that our new cottage/home has very much in the same vein/feeling.....but without the sea.....which is it's only downside.....but it does have a Canal...but that's not quite the Iris Sea is it?. :-)
shopping trolleys taken from a local supermarket to carry goods home, neatly stacked but probably never to be returned.
This was taken just 10 days ago - how long ago that seems! The supermarket shelves were empty, here the fresh fruit and vegetables completely sold out, and there were long queues outside - it felt so surreal. I can now get food delivered so no need to join the queues but I think the panic buying is settling down, the queues are shorter and there is much more food available. Title: I don't know if it is a common term in other countries but in the UK 'greens' can mean green leaf vegetables like cabbage, spinach etc. hence the title.
