Original WWII gasmask & oxygen container (1943), old stock in pristine condition.

Original head from the Seventies, hand made-up & with real hair (these heads were used by Hair styling Schools / Academies to exercize with new haircuts & hairstyles. Every sample head has different hair, make-up & very realistic face traits).

All the shooting items & accessories come from the Vintage Workshop® Accessories Archives aimed at research, consultation, rentals & shootings to fashion designers, producers, high fashion & PaP product managers, creative directors. Almost nothing is on sell. Exemplars are available to trusted customership for rental.

About Art, we personally think that many ppl are delicioulsy involved in creativity & they do well. But very few are Artists.

About how to become commercial in Art, apart Stefano Wolf who doesn't even need to promote himself online, the rest of us in our Collective would be interested in learning from other colleagues how to become more commercial still keeping our own identity, individuality & essence...

The mask I cherish the most. Gosh, I dunno but I don't want to ask someone to wear a mask to shoot how it looks like, nor I'm willing to auto-portrait myself. So I though, why not to use one of my morphic realistic heads with genuine human hair & realistic face traits & sizes? This is what I sorted out... Ok, this particular face has not really straight eyes but this may often be a human defect, so, I feel sympathy for this face & superlike the hair cut!

Let's go to the mask description which is my highlight for today: this mask is MADE IN ITALY, and not only, it was made my a small industry at few kilometers from my home even though I bought it far away from here. I'm enthusiast as it is the best one anatomically speaking for the shape but also because it's made in 97% COTTON fabric (a high quality called by fibers experts "Popeline") & 3% elastane, that lil bit of elastic that gives the best wearability.

The mask is made of two layers overlapping one another, the inside is very soft, to the sides there is an opening to enter the filter, as an internal pocket, it is washable, reusable and very stylish.

The other reason I like it is because it's a super great idea, to me, to apply a graphic pattern to give back the human traits, nose, mouth but also to play with it, showing different traits from our own original ones, like a mask for carnival or a masquerade, so to speak, to wear it with irony & a good mood.

But especially, I consider it a great idea to hand draw or paint the traits on a blank mask with this same caracteristics & make it an original & personalized one applying a little bit of manuality & creativity.

I find it very cleaver it has the pocket for the filtering face piece to be inserted which makes it , if not a PPE (personal protective equipment) at least a smart way to wear something rather safe. Besides, if you insert in the pocket a surgical mask, there you go, you obtain a PPE with that little something special ;-)

Notice: since the mouth printed was looking to me a lil too thick, I edited it by repainting it digitally. The background I used for this photo as a limbo is one of my glamourous Vintage jackets from the Eighties but inspired to the Flapper era (1910/1920) that I find correct in topic for the design of the illustrated mask.

In the uncertainty of this third Millennium, it feels good to think about every year we have this important Anniversary celebrating the Archangels Legacy of God.

First of all: Saint MICHAEL, Saint GABRIEL, Saint RAPHAEL.

I only know Michaels! I believe I'm closer to that Hierarchy, by temperament.

Happy Day to all the luminous warriors for the Good, to all the doctors, physicians, health practitioners, the teachers, the friends, the messengers...

Last but not least: the lighting warriors can also be the Photographers! So happy Feast of Light to you all!

Furtherly: I superlike the fact that the Archangels are present in all the monotheistic religions, so, in their path, we can all feel a lil together, independently from anyone own Creed! Wow, this is a true plus!

In my photo: modern wooden hand sculpted and hand painted statue of St. Michael the Archangel (Middle XX Ct), ancient Parrosh Church, Loreo, Italy.

Nikon Cool Pix33, my lil magic one, no in-camera effects (my Cool Pix sees almost as my eyes) Light/colour adjustment as low indoor-lighting, slight oval semi-transparent smoky frame overlapped as a foreground layer. Noise on the face gives intensity but looses clarity; what I like of this photo is the strange gradient of a golden light at the apex, deeming from upwards to the lower part of the sculpture. Framing allowed me to isolate the statue from the closeness of frescoes with other subjects and to delicatelly accompany and caress the sinous line of the chains.

My shooting position: laying on church floor, untill the Parrosh arrived to meet me and see what I was doing on the floor. So, I didn't have many attempts for this particular angle, just one or two. I have much better & focused shots from other perspectives but this it the one I may prefer.

I will never be tired to photograph this and other Saint Michael statues and paintings. Almost every year I come back to see this statue and I find it positioned in other places in the church. The last time was 2 years ago and the inner light had been much improved to allow me to take better shots. Michaels Angels have always a very potent appearance, a carismatic glaze which is a powerful statement.

I had the opportunity to take some interesting photos to a St. Michael marble statue this summer, near the medieval castle of Copertino (Lecce, Italy) and in the year 2016 in Belgique at the wooden statue of Saint Michel in Bruxelles, Concathédrale Saints Michel-et-Gudule. That statue almost animated in front of my camera. I and my friend could both take some very phenomenal photos with two different cameras and the peculiar effect was there in both cameras. We never shared those pics, we are still a lil scared. I would need an expert in detecting paranormal activity and in validating the absence of any edits to our photos. So I am keeping them pristine, raw until I find an expert willing to "read" them.

I think maybe two experts would be needed: an image detective and a mystic... Complicated but I keep on the hope.

Main behavioural traits & info on cockatiels daily life:

Cockatiels, as other parrots, don't really need to stay all the time in the cage. They of course need it to eat, drink & sleep in their homy cage which is for them the most important point of reference & shelter. They are social & like to sleep in community, one side by side the other but, daily, they also need to fly a little & they superlike to land & stand on very high positions/platforms like on top of our heads and more, on top of the tallest closets & furniture!

In this photo Tina, the Mom of the happy 8 newborn cockatiels is quietly out of the box, lol. Tina is a female cockatiel,solid colour, blond lutino variety with deep orange cheeks, now 7years old, the heroic Mom of the 8 puppies! This event was totally unexpected but the couple (Tina & Yuki) is really deeply in love! And all this joy has been lent to us too :-)

It is very interesting to see how the two parents are perfectly INTERCHANGEABLE, both brood & take care of the eggs, both feed the puppies & warm them. They turn&exchange their own obligations allowing the partner to rest & eat. And there is more to say, for instance, we've observed that frequently the male feeds the female partner too, enlightening her to recover forces. A perfect harmonious family running! Even the puppies from very small show interest towards the sieblings, the bigger ones take care of the smaller ones, warming them, combing their feathers, cleening their face & tip, being always generous in cuttles. Rarelly they argue, when they do is becos one wants to take the place of another but they solve it in few seconds just with gently shoving each other. They are almost never noisy, apart when they are still small & hungry, or they want to attract our attention or they demand to fly. Their signs are very eloquent & unmistakable, very good communicators!

Very important to know: each cockatiel has his/her own original personality, different from the others. But everyone, in a way or another, is very funny. They are curious & show a fast progressive learning. Not true they copy one another, they have their own personal tastes! Well, let's say they accept to learn also when they "inspire" one another :-)

Alltogether we have now 12 parrots, well 11 as Pepe has been adopted. 10 are Calopsite (cockatiels) and 2 more who are Parrocchetti (parakeet parrots, 1 blue & 1 golden). Parakeets are much more noisy, 2 are lauder than the 10 cockatiels!

All are considered honor members of our family & we are super proud of each one of them!
