Models that I do not currently own will be integrated into the collection. The others will be refurbished and found new homes.

I've rented the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2 lens for the week to take to Disney. It's way lighter than the 85mm f/1.2 and I think that'll come in handy later in the week. I chose it for the medium format like depth of field and it looks great here. It also seems more forgiving than the 85mm.

The streak across the screen is the refresh rate of the CRT. I'm working on a Hasselblad 500C/M manual to pull up in Hypercard. Just for fun (and a work in progress) but it could be very useful.

As some of you may remember, I dropped my MacBook Pro a little over a week ago and killed its internal hard disk. I ordered a replacment from Other World Computing and installed it and aside from some dings on the case I think I'm back up to speed with this computer. Not too bad for a serious fall.

Here's the writeup on installing the hard disk at my weblog.

Working with very outdated SuperDrive but it sometimes saves the day ;) I mean it!

從前方看 SuperDrive 簡約的設計,跟 MacBook 或是 MacBook Pro 不一樣的光碟片插入口做成黑色,就像 MacBook Air 使用黑色鍵盤一樣。

I got tired of my old work station and went to IKEA to buy some new stuff for my desk. I got two white LACK side tables and the green MALM glass top. The side tables are 55x55x45cm and the glass top is 160x48cm.

First, I painted my boring gray-black lcd monitors to white. I can't afford two Apple displays, so why not make yours look like one? :)

I cut the side table's legs to 30cm and keep the 10cm pieces to support the glass top. The distance between the legs of the side table is 45cm so 10cm from the bottom of the legs, I made 2cm support places for the glass top to slide between the legs.

I had to make an adjustment to fit my two lcd monitors between the two side tables, so I made the right one just a little bit over the edge of the desk. I didn't cut it because I wanted the 55x55 space. Then I put the 10cm pieces of the legs (four) under the glass top. Oh by the way, the glass top is fully under the left side table but reaches just the left leg of the right side table. So, left side table now has three layers of storage space, and the right one is available for my JBL Creature Speaker :)

The RATIONELL cutlery tray is placed under the left glass to keep little things -before this, it was leaned to the wall on the table and looked bad-.

The LACK coffee table was the thing I had before, I placed my dearest friend's left over white NORRGRUND bathroom cabinet inside. I use it to keep my power cables, multi sockets and other stuff...

I like designing new stuff with old products, especially with IKEA products. I am in love with my new work station, the green glass looks incredible, white looks very elegant and the best of all, it's very functional... ;) I'll put a nightshot soon... And thanks to my friend Hck for all the help ;)

I want to be a MacPro.

So work had this iMac G4 in a pile of stuff scheduled to be destroyed. No one was sure if it worked or where it had come from. Someone said "A storage closet we think." So I asked if I could have it instead of it being wrecked if it worked.

The power plug was there so I fired it up and it had a locked install of 10.4.10 on it. A little terminal work later and I was in. What a find too.

Whoever owned this before wasn't playing around when they bought it and totally topped it out. It's a slick little device, I'm getting Leopard 10.5.6 to throw on it now so some more current software will work on it. Can't believe they were going to scrap the little guy.

The Apple iMac G4/800 17-Inch (Flat Panel) “Snowball” came to market in July 2002. The internal components were housed in a 10.6-inch half sphere white case with a chrome stainless steal need that supported either a 15” or 17”. This version replaced the iMac G3 and built upon the design of the G4 Cube. Unlike earlier iMac models that were convection-cooled the iMac “Snowball” series was cooled by a quiet internal fan. This model features an 800 MHz PowerPC (G4), 256 MB of RAM (PC133 SDRAM), an 80.0 GB Ultra ATA/66 hard drive (5400 RPM), a tray-loading "SuperDrive", and NVIDIA GeForce4 MX graphics with 32 MB of DDR SDRAM (AGP 2X support). The iMac G4 was replaced by the iMac G5 on August 31, 2004.

You like your MacBook Pro and suppose it is able to do pretty much some thing, even make a trade.

This is literally proper for some MacBook users, who have been reporting on tech forums of the atypical placement of a random area or penny of their device’s SuperDrive, determined whilst the bottom ...
