I'm really, really ambivalent about this. Every (post)industrialized metropolis of more than 5 million seems to hire the same super-architects to design their new palaces. As a result, there is a Libeskind, Piano, Foster, Koolhaas, and Gehry everywhere. The problem is that these buildinds all look and feel the same. Here you see a Gehry (and Kapoor's "sculpture" on the right). I bet time does not treat these kindly. I hope this is like the supermodel fad 20 years ago, soon over.
