The castle lies on an island in the river Svartån. The name of Örebro comes from the small stones ("ör") that the river transports. The second part of the word comes from the bridge ("bro") .
The oldest part of the castle, a defence tower, was erected in the latter half of the 13th century. It was probably built during the reign of King Magnus IV of Sweden (1316–1374). In 1364, Albrecht von Mecklenburg (ca 1340–1412) captured a fortress in Örebro. That was probably a predecessor of today's castle, which was built on the small island within the Svartå river. The fortress is supposed to have consisted of a defence tower with a surrounding wall.[2] The tower was added to in the 14th century to make a larger stronghold. Under King Charles IX of Sweden (1550–1611), the fortress was rebuilt into a Renaissance castle. Since 1764, the castle has served as the residence of the governor of Örebro County

La chaîne des Aravis est une chaîne de montagnes située dans les Préalpes à cheval entre la Haute-Savoie et la Savoie. Son plus haut sommet est la pointe Percée que se partagent les communes du Grand-Bornand, de Sallanches et du Reposoir. L'extrémité septentrionale du massif est appelée chaîne du Reposoir.
The Aravis range is a mountain range located in the Pre-Alps straddling Haute-Savoie and Savoie. Its highest peak is Pointe Percée shared by the municipalities of Grand-Bornand, Sallanches and Reposoir. The northern end of the massif is called the Reposoir chain.

Thats how they call the area "Brand" insite the Saxonian Switzlands. It's a wooded hill area, around 300 meters high, near the town Hohnstein. From here, you have one of the most beautiful panoramic views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Unfortunately the balcony is pointing western so that place is more suitable for sunset- than sunrisephotography, what I could find out recently. Still it was a wonderful hike and a fantastic sight.
So nennt man das Gebiet "Brand" in der Sächsichen Schweiz. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine ca.300 m hohen bewaldeten Hügellandschaft in der Nähe der Stadt Hohnstein. Von hier aus hat man einen der schönsten Panorama Ausblicke über die Weiten des Elbsandsteingebirges. Ünglicklicherweise zeigt der Balkon nach Westen ist also eher für Sonnenuntergangs als für -aufgangsfotos geeignet, wie ich kürzlich feststellen durfte. Trotzdem war es ein wundervoller Ausflug und ein grandioser Anblick.

I went a day trip to get this Sandhill Crane family at Sierra county. It took me 4 hrs driving and waited to see baby for 5 hrs due to the tall grassy. I got a few keeper after a long hours waiting.
