Heading toward the blue hour but still enough light..
Enjoy the weekend flickr friends....Pat...xo
For awhile now...on and off.... we've been experiencing hazy air due to wildfires from Western Canada and Alaska. At this moment the air has cleared a bit, and blue sky can be seen...best to stay inside with AC on if possible...
Also thinking of homes and wild life lost.....

I wanted to capture the sun reflection in the Merced lake. You can see the rising fog in the background breathing life into the valley. Took several shots to get the reflection right as the sun was playing peek a boo with me behind the trees.

The diversity of the sea shines in this kaleidoscopic shot with ripples, algae and rocks with reflections from the sun.

This is a wave action shot taken in the South China Sea. The sea offered a delightful contrast of a diamond foam crest wave with the sun reflecting off the sea.
Stunning crepuscular rays breaking through the cloud just after sunrise and illuminating the surface of the sea
Small waves are great for presenting a ripple fold contrasting abstract aided by reflections from the sun..

I was truly fortunate to have a photo opportunity on the Lynnwood Docks, North Vancouver, BC.
There is no public access to these docks, marina or surrounding property. I had a special access tour as a guest, from a long time personal friend.
Strive to be different and original , be your own artist.
Thank-you for all the overwhelming support and many friendships.
Stay healthy

This image is straight from the camera - no post processing. The grass was at the edge of the Fraser River, and the light behind the grass comes from the reflection of the bright sun on the water.
anyone knows the cause of the dark shadow around the sun? I need some help please . even tho all of the image in the same time had that shadow. I shot the images with my Nikon D3100 in jpg form ...
...damit werden wir uns auch an diesem Wochenende überwiegend zufrieden geben ;-)

“Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” – Harriet Beecher Stowe
The lake lay in solemn repose, its surface barely disturbed by the spectral breath of the wind. The sun, waning on the horizon, cast fractured beams upon the water, setting it aflame with a fleeting brilliance. Reeds, dark and spectral, stood in mute witness at the edge, their slender forms bending as if in quiet lament. Bare branches stretched toward the heavens, yearning, yet forever denied the light they sought. In the distance, a lone bird glided, its silhouette a whisper against the fading sky. Time faltered, caught in the hush between dusk and radiance, between the sighing reeds and the silent, watchful firmament.
