When I first arrived at the beach, I was hopeful for a great sunset, but unfortunately the cloud cover just got too heavy. Still the start was promising.

Morning walk near Wasenberg (Hessen, Germany)
Sometimes when I have to clean up the hard drive, pictures appear that I have completely forgotten. I just rediscovered this one and I took it once when I was walking in the forest looking for sunrays. It gives me a feeling of tranquility when I look close at it, so I want to save it from the vault :-)
took that shot in February ..... close to the village "Bubach an der Naab"

Thanks a lot!
The eroded canyons and washes provide plenty of sand, the wind seems to always blow, but there are only a few areas in the park where the sand is "trapped" by geographic features such as mountains – Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. The dunes appear out of nowhere as one drives towards Stovepipe Wells, and they are glorious in the evening sunset.
Sometimes is pays to go out in the rain. We'd gone out early in the cold and wet, only for the sun to break through when we got to this footbridge over the lovely Plantsbrook, in Newhall Valley Park, not far from home. I shot with the sun streaming into the side of my lens... perhaps not the wisest thing to do, but it was so delightful, showing up all the lovely light on the leaves and the water. So here we are !
Thanks as always for your views, each one is very appreciated.

“The purity of peace, which is genuine happiness, cannot be found outside of you in material possessions, accomplishments, or other people. Pleasure is a fleeting emotion based on an external factor. But true happiness is who you are, and does not depend on anything else. When you are at peace, you are more than enough. You are pure life--complete, fulfilled, whole, and you are everything you could possibly want or need. You feel sufficiently independent and whole, yet connected to life and every being on the planet. Peace is true fulfillment. Once peace is consistently maintained, it is unwavering, no matter the strength of the storm surrounding you.”

The lake is part of the Notre-Dame de Mortemer Abbey, an ancient Cistercian men's abbey founded in 1134 by King Henry Beauclerc, located between Lyons-la-Forêt and Lisors. It was the first Cistercian abbey in Normandy. Most of the original buildings dating from the 11th and 13th centuries are in a state of ruin and were classified as historic monuments.
