We call this pose "the money shot" in our house. He's beggging for belly-rubs when he lays like this.
My sweet boy, Emile, trying to have a snooze in the sun. I disturbed him by entering the room with the camera. He started to purr as soon as he saw me. (He's my darling baby.)
Here's a series of photos of Miss Molly yawning. I know that my Monsieur Emile is usually the star of yawn shots, but I wanted to showcase my tiny, delicate, lady-like little squeaker today. She was having a wonderfully relaxing sun-nap on the guest bed with Emile when I disturbed them with my intrusive camera.
Emile finds me pointing my camera at him very funny. He loves to see me contort myself to get the "perfect" shot.
(Thanks for the title, Neva!)
Emile was stretching out to grab the camera away from me. He wanted to play, not model!
Hello everybody. It has been so long, but our mom promisses that she'll keep up on your photos and stories soon! It's getting colder here in the new house, and we like to be in the sunshine whenever we can...or to sleep on the heating ;)
*Purrrs from the girrrls*
Emile and Molly decided to use the guest bed as a nap/pllay area. This room gets all of the lovely, warm afternoon sun, and is a favourite place for a sun-nap.
Emile can be endlessly entertained with the most simple of toys. He loves ribbons more than anything.
Sometimes Emile will drag a ribbon past Molly or Remy to try and entice them to grab the other end and play Tug-of-War. Molly was more interested in a sun-nap, and Emile became stupified by the heat, and gave up.
Emile has always felt that my hands should best be used to give him belly rubs and chin scratches. Holding a camera is a poor substitute for cuddles according to Emile!
Emile had been having a sun nap on the middle level of the condo when I grabbed my camera for a mini photo session. I think that he is one of the sweetest things in the world. Everyone should experience cuddling a big, chubby, purring orange ball of fluff. The world would be much happier, I think.
Emile had been having a sun nap on the middle level of the condo when I grabbed my camera for a mini photo session. Sometimes I swear that he poses for the camera. He's such a goofy ham, that I love to see him try to look serious and snooty.
Molly still doesn't totally like her "brothers". It's been 2 and 1/2 years, and she still feels that she was meant to be an only child. She will tolerate sharing the beds with the boys, but that's about it.
Emile looks like he's got the cares of the world on his mind in this photo. Either that, or he's got sun in his eyes and is squinting...one or the other!
My Ducky....We've had him since he was a kitty so he's pushing 12 years now. He's still grumpy as ever but for the most part he LOVES to sunbathe/sunnap all day.
My favorite thing that Eliot does when he's napping is to roll over on his back in a half circle and cover his eyes with his paw. It is a very cat-like pose. Not surprising considering that he is a total cat wannabe. Does anyone else have a dog that meows for his food? Because it has been so cold here (my relatives would disown me if they knew that I was complaining about the cold here when this is typically warm weather where I hail from), Eliot has been burrowing underneath the covers and wrapping himself up in any knitted item he finds laying around. Here he is with my favorite lace shawl.
