The butterfly was feeding from the sunflower. I attempted some Macro shots but it was a bit too breezy!
Hear them when they’re in full bloom... whispering to the sun... glowing out her light... swaying together with the wind in a mesmerizing motion... cradling the breeze... fascinating the eyes... charming the souls... it’s the field of stars...

Fields of sunflowers are a photographers delight, and this field is in full glory.
Fellow photog Bill Matuszewski turned me on to the location of one awesomely large and bright sunflower field. If you live in mid-Michigan find the corner of Gordonville Rd. and Homer Rd, west of Bullock Creek H.S. and south of Midland.

I'd call it a daisy, but it belongs to the sunflower family. What a fitting family name...sunflower!

She was using her tail to protect her back from the falling snow as she chowed down on sunflower seeds. I literally had hundreds of birds and squirrels in my yard the whole week of the storm.

Yesterday we picked some sunflowers from the field for the birds in winter.They are for sale, there was a cashier...
This was taken with my Bokina and the Macro Extender. I wanted to focus on just the edge of the petal and was able to get this very soft colorful image.
