Once more at this overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway. I had wandered back and forth over the open area. Finally, this single tree caught my attention sitting at the bottom of the image. I was originally going to put my telephoto on, and perhaps I should have, but at the same time, the rest of the scene was lush, beautiful and ready for a shot. I decided to try and capture more of the tree in the foreground leading off into the background. Unfortunately, shooting directly into the sun created a bit of an issue with flaring, but I think I adjusted just enough to get the tree almost framed by it. At the end of the day, this photo has likely my favorite colors within it.

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it’s sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again ...

John 8:12 “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”
I must say, I love that sun flare! Every time I shot into the sun I got it...woohoo:)
South Falls at Silver Falls State Park, Oregon. Have a great Wednesday, and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments :-)
sometimes i see a beautiful shaft of light and let go of the details. light itself is the subject. which leads to an interesting human metaphor: without knowing all the details—without knowing how things will work out—we can let our inner light shine. shine a light of hope, creativity, love, wisdom, courage, or compassion.
We went for a beautiful nature walk yesterday and I caught the sun shining through the trees,,, I have no idea if this is a good or bad capture but I like it 😊
Thanks for your visits,,,,
With hurricane Ophelia arriving in British Isles. With the unusal coloured skies as seen from our back garden, I photographed the setting sun at around 5pm. I could see a small sunspot & flare coming off sun's limb at 3 o'clock position (on the sun). Click to enlarge :)
