Knit on size 7 needles with Jaeger Cadiz, a 50/50 blend of silk and viscose, 98 yds per 50g skein. The project, made to fit a 12-month old, required about 1/2 skein each of 3 colors that I received in a "grab bag."

Rainford Walking day 2010 was blessed with fine sunshine and the village and its people never looked better ....

Rainford 'walking day' takes place every year in June and a fairground is set up behind the Golden Lion public house.

Schools, groups, clubs and bands all take place in the event and all the village attend to watch the walk.

Hint: It's my birthday present. Sneaky husband, after years of my teasing that I never get a present ON my birthday (it's happened twice in 15 years. . and both really, really bad. I'll get the pic of one shortly), he done gone and went and did THIS.
