Let's rethink Roses!
What if you could imagine a spicy, multicolored durable petite Rose that is a heck of a lot more fun? Rainbow Sunblaze® (Rosa 'Meigenpi') is the very best kind of "good time gal", and definitely not a high-maintenance prima donna.
Nearly 2 weeks since my first photos of this flowering and the flowers look more amazing every day, with colour becoming more and more gold and opening further. It had been about 10 years since I last flowered this orchid and when it first opened, I didn't think it was as gold as it had been. It looks like I had to be patient !
A really amazing place, off the beaten path, is Yant Flat. It is part of a National Forest area, or maybe just BLM land,I don't recall. Anyhow, you do about a 1.5 mile hike to these cliff edge rock formations, quilting themselves over this cliff area. Another nickname of the place is Candy Cliffs. I will definitely visit this location again, as I now have a much better sense of it.
In retrospect I kind of wish I had setup at this exact time a little higher up on the formations, but I still like this shot. Yep, it's a blend of a number of exposures with only a slight LR tweak.

So this place... I was expecting (and looking forward to) regular old pub food in a kitschy atmosphere. What it actually was was a really classy restaurant that served us the best meal we had the entire trip. (This meal was called "smoked salmon, sunblaze tomato, and chorizo fishcakes," in case you were wondering. They were these crabcake-like fried things with the aforementioned ingredients all mixed together with some sort of cream cheese filling... OMG.)
And I met a group of Holmes fans there, which was soooo neat, and one of them named Wendy was more hardcore than me. That was so special, and then OH, they had the Sherlock Holmes ale. Sherlock Holmes ale. Ummm, yes please, I'LL HAVE THAT. Come on. :D
There is a long hour of some days that seems to resiliently linger determinately opening up a gateway ready for us to return to once more. For a thousand simple reasons I could wish that door was still ajar for some. There are too many rules and strictures to bind and confine us in cruel ways that only a falsely caring society celebrates in loud triumph. There is world for us all and we deny it to those that we cannot care enough for. There will be ways in better days for us all to enjoy the evening haze. For now we have the best of the day to carry with us along our way to share with all those for whom we care.
This picture was taken at, “Boleskine, which is situated on the South-Eastern shore of Loch Ness in Scotland, two miles east of Foyers.” The hot bright emblem in the deep rich blue sky that day had me conjuring along the lines of many fleur-de-lys each holding three in one and all in none. The ideals held within the Gnostic Mass and embraced by those who open their heart there bringing bright light ready to be experienced and to be enjoyed.
I: OF THE FURNISHINGS OF THE TEMPLE
IN THE EAST, that is, in the direction of Boleskine, which is situated on the South-Eastern shore of Loch Ness in Scotland, two miles east of Foyers, is a shrine or High Altar. Its dimensions should be 7 feet in length, 3 feet in breadth, 44 inches in height. It should be covered with a crimson altar-cloth, on which may be embroidered fleur-de-lys in gold, or a sunblaze, or other suitable emblem.

This image is formed to show a little something of the transformations currently underway at Boleskine. Hopefully there will be more images to record the repairs after the ravages of fire.
