Sun is shining, the weather is sweet, yeah
Make you wanna move your dancing feet now
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know, y'all, can you understand?
When the mornin´ gather the rainbow, yeah, yeah
Want you to know, I'm a rainbow too now
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know, y'all, can you, can you, can you understand?
Sun is shining, the weather is sweet now
Make you wanna move your dancing feet, yeah
But to the rescue, here I am
Want you to know just if you can,
here I stand, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
Can you understand me now, baby?
Do you believe me?
BOB MARLEY
Just before sunset on the Midland Highway somewhere near Jerico, Tasmania.
A long day of site visits from Devonport to Launceston. There are bushfires everywhere - I think the whole state is shrouded in smoke at the moment. The smoke made the sunset an eerie orange/ red colour.
I took my eldest son with me on this trip - he turned 13 a few days ago and now has his own Canon DSLR. He took some amazing photos from this trip. It turns out that 13 is also the magic age to get a Flickr account, so we're going to set that up and you'll be able to see his wonderful work.
Update: Quinn's account is here - www.flickr.com/photos/139706324@N04/
16 квітня 2020 року, коли Київ затягнуло димом, за 140 км від столиці в місті Ічня, небо теж мало сірий колір. А сонце втратило свою яскравість і на нього можна було дивитися неозброєним оком.

On April 16, 2020, when the smoke in Kiev, 140 km from the capital city of Ichnya, the sky was gray. And the sun lost its brightness and you could look at it with the naked eye.

This guy seemed to be enjoying the afternoon sun... even though it was -20 C at the time. Their thick winter coats make them look much bigger in the winter than they do in the summer.
this photo was taken at around 6AM in the wakra beach... don't know how the sun got this big as early as 6 in the morning... but i like the way i captured this one.. :D
Here's a shot from the vista point on the way into Ancient Bristlecone Forest.
I sat here watching the light pass through the clouds in various intensities and direction, enthralled I captured several frames and noticed my gray jacket looked pink, I turn around and almost fell over at what I was beholding. You can see the shot from the other direction below.

Sun Peaks ski resort
Kamloops, B.C.
It was about -16 C when I took this shot but it didn't seem to daunt the skiers. There was no wind and the sun was shining. This was the quiet end of the slopes but the main chair lift had a fairly long line-up.
Sun going down into the Pacific Ocean, seen from the west coast of the Olympic Peninsula, Washington. Near Kalaloch, I think. Good viewed in large size; there are some nice patterns in the water.
Very bright sun dogs on January 2015 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This is caused by the refraction of sunlight by ice crystals freezing in the atmosphere. It was an extremely cold - 35°c morning...hot coco afterwards. Also, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all my Flicker Friends :-)

Sun, sometimes you like it sometimes you hate it...
All depends on you timing, location, situation and your mood.
You can't change the Sun and the situation.....
But you can change yourself and your location to makes you feel better!
So, instead of blaming others, why not "CHANGE" and make yourself comfortable. ;)
