2014.04.24 - On this day I was happy to participate on an Instax Day organised by Fujifilm in Madrid. It was such an amazing day! We traveled around the city, we ate in fab places, we learned about olive oil, scrapbooking, martinis and obviously... the pretty Instax Mini camera!

This vintage hot pink VW van was one of my favourite things!

In the middle of this room is so-called Furogama 風炉釜,Japanese iron tea kettle ( with portable fireplace / wind furnace 風炉- this is put on a tile)for the traditional tea ceremony .Generally from May to October the Furo is used and then almost of the ceremony style is changed from winter style.

In Japan there are mainly two styles in tea ceremony.

One is so-called Cha-do/Sa-do茶道,very famous tea ceremony style using Maccha抹茶-powdered green tea, There are various tea schools including 4 schools (四家Shi-ke )-the three head of tea schools ,Omote-senke,Ura-senke,Mushanokoji-senke and Yabunouchi-ke.

The other is Sehcha-do 煎茶道style using brewed green tea .Sencha-do also has various schools, including Ogawa-ryu小川流( I had been concerned with that shool through work),Ogasawara-ryu,Hoen-ryu ..e.g..

And this room is Sencha-do style.

In Sencha-do ,the ceramic materials are used very often,so generally the fireplaces and kettles are made from ceramics, but here they are made from iron,The materials of tea ceremony -things differ among schools.

This temple has an explicit no-tripod policy, so tripods, including monopods, are usually prohibited.

Annik is modelling my latest creation. She was also one of my chosen models for my first version of this dress. The challenge with this design is to make sure the dress hangs straight and everything is symmetrical - lots of careful teasing and hand finishing involved ;-) I really like it in this tropical print.

Well, I thought I had finished this collection but I had already cut out these shorts so I had to make at least one more outfit. Doesn’t it look great on my Natalia Seashore Rebel?! 💗💓 Her colourful face screening and beachy looking tan is just perfect for this look. She came to me already rerooted but with a bit of a weird hairstyle, so I cut it into this asymmetric bob style. I’m really pleased with how it turned out but it was so nerve-wracking cutting dolly hair (and it felt somehow transgressive, like something naughty you did as a kid!) that I don’t think I’ll be doing it again- unless a doll really does have a disastrous style that can ONLY be improved. I THINK this is the last outfit in this fabric but there is a little bit left so I might just have to use it all up...

I wanted to see if I could use the tie top feature that I created for Agnes's blue robe in a dress so I created this design. The aim was to preserve the tie and 'peek-a-boo' feature but to have a back closure so the tie does not have to be undone to put the dress on and off since, over time, I think that would make the item difficult to wear. I also needed to figure out how to combine top and bottom halves without having any raw edges on the inside, so I came up with the solution of the inset waistband which is self-lined on the inside, as is the bodice.

I'm still hooked on this idea and I'll probably continue this series... In the meantime, I think this bag that is trying to look like a hat is rather cute :-) Nadja Vanity and Glamour seems to like it :-)))

The August round of ManCave is live, and we're kicking things off with this clean Renan Set from VARSITY available for Legacy M , Belleza Jake, Kario Flex and YES Frisky!

It's the perfect fit for that late summer, "I look good without trying too hard" vibe. This is just one of the solid highlights from this month's event.

For my full take on the best pieces, check out the detailed review on the blog.

captured on a warm evening along palma’s elegant paseo del borne, this photo juxtaposes two passersby dressed in all-white attire. the contrast is accentuated by the play of light and shadow, with the man’s white shopping bag further emphasizing the monochromatic theme. the deliberate composition, with its sharp contrasts and the parallel paths of the subjects, captures a fleeting moment of urban life, embodying both simplicity and sophistication in a single frame.

Elyse is wearing my latest creation based on a traditional kimono design made from a super fine silk lined with black lace. I love how this delicate fabric looks like butterfly wings… Elyse is my beautiful Madama Butterfly (wearing Barbie Shakira shoes)

Gut bekleidet in den Bergen in mehreren Lagen unterwegs bei strahlend blauem Himmel. Aber: Es geht auch anders, wie auf dem kleinen Bild zu sehen ist ....
