Summer is gone, now the flowers are shedding there beauty, I figured gets some pedals and take some macro photos while they still have some color.
If insects and bees disappeared off the face of the earth, man would only have four years left to live. The insects are very important in our ecosystem. They have a number of features that we people depend on. In Europe, the spread of insects is greatly reduced. This is serious because nature and we humans are completely dependent on the insects coming to work.

Two shots. I was happily surprised to see this Summer Tanager in the back yard. A first for me. As beautiful as this bird is, I wish they would come more often. The photos are cluttered by the feeders but the bird is so colorful and unusual (for me) that I had to post them. He only stayed for 30 seconds so I was lucky to get a shot at all. Sorry for the feeder shots but that's all I have. Thanks so much for visiting.

Piranga rubra -female- (Summer tanager / Piranga abejera)
The only completely red bird in North America, the strawberry-colored male Summer Tanager is an eye-catching sight against the green leaves of the forest canopy.
The mustard-yellow female is harder to spot, though both sexes have a very distinctive chuckling call note. Fairly common during the summer, these birds migrate as far as the middle of South America each winter.

Not sure what this bird is, first time I've seen it. It is smaller than a Mockingbird and larger than a Sparrow. If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks for confirmation from Sue Milks that this is a Juvenile Summer Tanager, I now know what it is!
So much happened recently and obviously all for a good change.
Not just my hair changed but so much more.
I just build a new home for my family and me to enjoy summer to the fullest and I cannot wait to share with them.
When painting the walls of our new home I thought I could need a new paint too! There you go!
All I gonna need the next months is sun screen and shorts.. done.
