A wonderful early summer day in the East Eifel.
From this exceptional photographic opportunity, here is another version of an image already shown.
Ein herrlicher Frühsommertag in der Osteifel.
Von dieser fotografischen Ausnahmegelegenheit hier eine andere Version eines bereits gezeigten Bildes.
My cat, Mr. Meowzer, is a free spirit who comes and goes as he pleases. Feeling drowsy on a summer afternoon, he chooses to nap on my bed with an expression that says "Not today".
"Summer afternoon -- summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language."

Summer temperatures and lack of water this year took its toll on some flowers, I came across this Tiger Lily just after a quick downpour, definitely made for a fantastic photo opportunity-HMM
Black-eyed Susans are a knockout and the epitome of summer days.

Only this last weekend and then the holidays for this summer has come to his end. A last memory of the beautiful poppies. Now I have to wait until next year before I can see them again.
Enjoy your weekend ;-)

The summer wind came blowin' in from across the sea
It lingered there, to touch your hair and walk with me
All summer long we sang a song and then we strolled that golden sand
Two sweethearts and the summer wind
Like painted kites, those days and nights they went flyin' by
The world was new beneath a blue umbrella sky
Then softer than a piper man, one day it called to you
I lost you, I lost you to the summer wind
The autumn wind, and the winter winds they have come and gone
And still the days, those lonely days, they go on and on
And guess who sighs his lullabies through nights that never end
My fickle friend, the summer wind
The summer wind
Warm summer wind
The summer wind

Summer is the annual permission slip to be lazy.
To do nothing and have it count for something.
To lie in the grass and count the stars.
To sit on a branch and study the clouds.
