Now that the little flowers on my dwarf butterfly bush have opened, my summer butterfly guests have arrived for their daily breakfast and lunch. This is my first butterfly encounter, other then the skippers who have been in my gardens since spring. This is a Great Spangled Fritillary (thank you Steve for the identification). Hopefully the swallowtails will be next ;-)

By mid-summer the corn had grown so high that I had to climb on top of my car with my tripod in order to be able to seen and capture this sunset.

Sony ILCE-7RM5 + Monster LA-KE1 Pentax K to Sony E Mount Adapter + Pentax DFA 28-105 ED DC WR
Note that the focal length presented in the EXIF data is not correct. I was shooting a Pentax lens on the Sony A7RV with the Monster LA-KE1 adapter. Occasionally the EXIF data do not register accurately when using the Monster adapter. The lens is the Pentax DFA 28-105. I'll guess that the focal length was near 30-50mm.
Can't wait to return to my summer office. Such a tough job....
