Cyanotype - washed in citric acid solution, hydrogen peroxide, washing soda and then toned in black tea.

Had to celebrate the appearance of the cherry blossom with a photo - Paper negative - Thornton Pickard Imperial full plate from early 1900s. Emil Busch Lens at F64 - exposure 100s.

Inverted in Photoshop. Ilford MG ~glossy paper, developed with standard Ilford chemistry .

Fading Tulip - paper negative on a 100 year-old 10x8 full plate field camera. Ilford RC VC glossy paper, developed in Bromphen standard dilution. Lens is a Dallmeyer F2.9 8” focus length (ex aerial photography). Exposure on F11, ISO 1 (under weak LED lighting), 3 minutes. Scanned at 1200DPI - inverted in Lightroom - no altering of levels.

Pear on a slate. Working to avoid highlights I followed Edward Steichen’s example (36 hr exposure in his case) and made a cloth tent and bounced light off the the sides rather than using direct lighting.

Preflashed KODABROME II RC paper negative. ISO 2, F45, 5 hours exposure

New Countess 10x8 full plate field camera with Beck Symmetrical lens c1900.

Standard Ilford Bromophen Powder Developer chemistry

Some success now with the Agfa 100 X-Ray film (8.5x6.5") in my "New Countess" field camera - with its new bellows. (Camera made in late 1800s by London & Paris Optic & Clock Company). F22 1/30s using Thornton Pickard roller shutter. - Clevedon Pier North Somerset. Yellow and GND filters to keep the sky under control. Negative photographed with Canon G15 and inverted in Photoshop.

Very pleased to be allowed to travel to Somerset (Hodders Combe) with relaxed Covid restrictions. Also very pleased with the results I got today on the 1890's Thornton Pickard Imperial camera and Penatc F2.9 lens. F5.6, 4 seconds ISO 4 with Polarising filter. Pre-flashed Ilford RC Multigrade Paper 6.5x8.5". Ilford developer 1:19.

Exploring the texture and form of pears - A Vandyke Brown print of an X-ray film negative. Full plate (8.5x6.5") size taken in a Thornton Pickard Imperial Camera from the early 1900s. F64 1 minute exposure.

   

New lens producing good results- I bought the lens for its combination of short focus length and small apperture, allowing me to make close-up images with good depth of field.

This is in good cosmetic condition

No scratches

Some light fungus / haze internally

some separation below front element

Apertures work correctly”

This apple image is a 5x7 paper negative on ilford multi grade RC paper processed in 1:3 Bromophen developer. Paper mounted in my 1900s 10x8 field camera at 2/3 full extension. 2x 500 Watt fluorescent studio lights, 3 minute exposure at F64 .
