Shooting in a studio is definitely not my natural environment, but working with a beauty like Jade makes it a whole lot easier!!
The assignment was to create a photo with a still life of five similar objects.
Equipment:

1 flash
2 reflectors
1 GOBO
This is my packing and shipping "department" I created in my studio closet. I reused an old table top (that my husband cut down to fit) placed on top of an aquarium stand we weren't using.
I've got tissue, boxes, book mailers, paper cutter, digital scale. The bin holds smaller stuff: tape, business cards, labels, pens, etc.
I've been feeling a bit off the past few days- various aches and pains- sprained ankle, wrenched my back, so I'm taking some vicodin. Also have a tough conversation coming up today that is long overdue. I finally feel like being in the studio again (instead of drawing/painting in bed.) It's helped me focus and prepare for the upcoming *discussion.* There probably won't be fireworks, but tears may be shed.

After many months of travel and neglect (attention being placed in other, more pressing matters) the studio was cleaned, organized and gleaned of all unneccessary crap.
Three waste bins full of junk were tossed.
New tools were added to the mix, so space had to be made. Old ones were retired to the Goodwill boxes.
VERY happy to get this done as it was impossible to even find a pencil in there. Time to mess it up again, I believe.

To celebrate our ONE YEAR anniversary, Ed and I reshot our iTunes album art. Thanks to everyone that has stuck with us for the first year!
I thought this was a technically good image. The camera could have been included for more context, as the viewer may wonder what the lanyard is attached to!
This is it, the Mini and the storage on the bottom, the I/O and patch bays in the center and then the LCD on top.
All driven by the Mini, and with a wireless bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I havent gone all wireless on the keyboard yet, but I certainly could, and there would be advantages to that so I have entertained the idea.
You can also see what crappy power comes into my building from the readout on the powersupply.
So this is a 18 track recording studio, that all fits into two cases.
Podcasts, live music, speeches, whatever. Sets up and is writing tracks to disk in less than 20 minutes.
