Attended a 4 hour studio photography course today at Ray Lowe Studios.
Had a good afternoon, spend the first couple of hours learning and the second 2 learning and shooting.
This was Abi who was out model for the day.

The architecture of this restaurant is incredible. I hate to see this area being demolished for the Harry Potter fiasco.
Another piece for my studio class... trying to catch up as the due date for my portfolio is approaching.
The idea was a modern-day escaping princess kinda thing. Hope you like it!

I just moved from Hollywood to Studio City and I'm not sure yet how I will take to it. I've never lived on the valley side of the canyon and I've been rather snobby about it. It's time to pay the piper.
It always amazes me how long it takes to do something that you thought would be a breeze. The studio is really coming along now. I have finished the lighting. I also (well my very clever wife) found a classic old modular couch. It is so incredibly comfortable its insane. Ive also set up a sought of little studio where Kyrie shoots her greeting cards for the web.
It is starting to get a little warmer down here in the australia so it is becoming a little bearable. The prints are starting to look good too. The large one that isnt hung is an A0! and it looks crazy.
I also finished selecting my 12 prints for the upcoming show. Wasn't that hard in the end.
Now all i need to do down here at the studio is some finishing touches here and there. I need a coffee table (hopefully as classic as the couch) and a few more prints and well be set!

I cleaned the basement, sold unwanted furniture and created a studio in my basement/rec room area. The carpet is hideous orange shag but the light next to the window in the daytime is pretty good. I had started a studio in the garage but it was looking like I might need mittens or a space heater. Warm basement studio...yipee!
