Had a 7 day sojourn to sunny Orlando Florida just to get away from the stress of work. The first day we came in was a bit chilly but then it became warmer as the days went on until again this past weekend.
I guess it is just nature's way of reminding me that my warm days in Florida is over and back again to deal with the wintry cold days in New York.

Ciao,
Ah… estendete l’invito!

Fatemi sapere, bserata!

My mother caught me daydreaming in the ceramics studio at the back our house in Caracas, Venezuela, in May 1963.
My mother's business partner Jorge, a Hungarian émigré, is in the background. The mighty kiln is behind him.
Jorge would arrive for work every day in his ancient black Citroen with his sweet Cocker Spaniel.

Studebaker made the Avanti back in '63 and it was a pretty cool car with a distinctive shape -- made from fiberglass. No grille (air came in from under the nose), disc brakes (the first USA car to feature them) and a 289 for motivation. It set 29 records on the Bonneville salt.
The rough design was sketched on a plane flight by the president of Studebaker, Sherwood Egbert, and fully refined by Raymond Loewy and his team over a short 40 days. They hoped to sell 20,000 in 1962 but only made 1200, and over a few years of production sold fewer than 6000.
