St Mary and St Botolph, Whitton, Ipswich

As recently as the 1950s, Whitton was a remote, rural parish. Today, it is home to more than 30,000 people, a huge housing estate on the north side of Ipswich. The church was completely rebuilt by Frederick Barnes in the 1850s, and extended by Richard Phipson in the 1860s. The dedication takes in that of the lost adjacent parish of Thurleston.

The wall with the shelves of frames, vitreous glass, tiles and supplies and my glass saw.

This i also me.

It was a delight to see so many Silver-studded Blues as we walked the dogs early this morning. They are very pretty butterflies, with a wingspan of just 26 - 32mm.

Universal Studio

Went out with the guys from work for a quick beer to Studer's - a bar/restaurant across the street from the Bluewin tower. We were sitting outside before a thunderstorm drove us inside.

The Eye-Fi geotagging was excellent on the shot: <5m.

A modular skyscraper that is the home of “The Daily Stud”, which delivers the latest news through the city!

This is by far my biggest build and it was also the most challenging one. It also took extremely long from the first digital design to the final build, since I was unable to move a stud for almost 2 years, due to building a real house. ;-) Most of the design was actually finished almost 3 years ago, so quite a bit before LEGO released the Daily Bugle. When that happened I lost the motivation to really finish it, but I finally re-visited it some months ago to finally finish it.

The skyscraper has 8 floors, which are fully furnished. It sits on two standard baseplates, is 107cm high and weighs about 16,2kg. The build contains 22.801 pieces and consists of 9 modules. It can be easily integrated into existing city layouts following the modular standard.

A peek in the drawers. Notice I said "the" drawers. Not "my" drawers.

At least that's how I had to re-type it so as not to confuse...

The stud wall to bedroon four and the stairs now filled with lovely sheep's wool insulation from Black Mountain Insulation of Rhyl. What wonderful stuff, so easy to use and I have high hopes for its long term performance.
