Not sure if these were added as part of the deck replacement or if they were existing. But these studs are used to connect the steel beams to the deck and make them act efficiently as one unit for resisting the weight of vehicles and pedestrians on the bridge.
A lot of reindeer. Actually, a ridiculous amount of reindeer. I had to get that vintage reindeer handkerchief, as the cuteness totally sucked me right in.
