I'm really proud of the corners on the binding! I used Oh, Fransson's tutorial from her quilt along, and ladder stitched the back. It went perfectly!

This was my first time working with studio equipment and lighting. It was also the first time I had worked with models (Lucky they are family).
Taken on Australia Day 2009.
Taken with a Canon EOS 30d, Canon Ex 550 speedlight and 18-55 EFS lens. The speedlight triggered the Modelling lights and Strobe flash. One strobe was fitted with a softbox and the other with a reflective umbrella. A 3 meter black backdrop was used with sheets on the floor.

I was all set for the drive to Shropshire this week, when a chance encounter in the boozer put me onto this colony closer to home.
It was cloudy, but in brief spells of sunshine the area was alive with butterflies, reminding me of days long past.
Most of the species on site are introduced, unnofficially/illegally.
These are the same race as the Shropshire ones, so there's a clue.
The silver-studs are the metallic spots nestling in the rear of the orange lunules.
