I got new football boots today and thought that the stud key could make a good photo as it is in the shape of a letter T which is the first letter of my name. So I got out my portable studio and had a go. I think it went pretty well.
I wanted Gems to Jewels studs to put in my second ear holes and to match the bracelet and earrings I was wearing to church today, so I made these this morning using 20gauge head pins (I don't have the extra large headpins offered by G2J, and I think 20gauge is the size that the typical earring is).
These are just obsidian bicones threaded onto the head pin and held in place with secure crimps. After the crimps, I used the width of the middle of the chain nose plyers plus the width of the flat nose plyers, then cut the rest of the head pin off.
I use the clear rubber stoppers every time I wear french wire earrings, otherwise I loose them right out of my ears, so I have a bunch of them in my jewelry box.
Anyway, I think this would be an easy, inexpensive add-on for customers who have multiple ear holes.
material cost - an amazing $2.70
These could also be made with wheels or rondelles - but I would personally max out at about 5x8mm, which means these could be made for anywhere from $2.60 to $4.20 (or higher is you tap into the carat collection)
This is a studio scale batmobile model. Its made in hollow resin and is identical in every way to the one used in the 1989 Tim Burton movie.
