Wir waren für eine Woche an der Nordsee. Während wir am Deich entlang gingen, fand ich diese interessanten Strukturen.
We went to the North Sea for one week. While walking along the bank, i found this great structured part. I like the look of it.
This structure covers the Kimmeisui Well, built in 1626, still stands, surviving numerous fire. If one has been here, one could realise it stands apart from the main tower with only stone slabs in between. Guess this is the reason it stays unscathed.
The well is very deep, with the distance to the water surface measuring about 33m, and its well curb was carved out of one stone.
Legend says that Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who constructed the Osaka Castle, dropped gold into this well to purify the water, but the fact is that the Kimmeisui Well was dug by the Tokugawa shogunate and did not exist in the days of the Toyotomi period.

After building the initial treepee I decided it was time to create a living treepee. One that with time, strength would increase and live and thrive for as long as it's meant too. This video is the 6 days it took to build the support structure that will help train the plant life to grow on and up. In time the structure will no longer be needed to support the plant growth and what will be left is the self supporting treepee.

This shows the structured insulated panel a bit better ... you can see the outside board with the insulation inside. The walls are about R24-R28 in insulation value. That's better than a normal studded wall of same insulation value because it is a continuous piece not interupted by studs every 16 inches!

Taken while riding in a taxi or van, I was fascinated by the way billboards were constructed in Thailand, probably because they are similar to the look of fire escapes.
