At 11:37, Friday October 24th, Engines 1, 2, 5 and 307 along with Truck 1 and a Battalion 712, responded to the 1400 block of Lou Dillon Lane for a reported structure fire. Engine 5 was first in and reported a large 3 story residential structure with smoke showing from the first floor.
Upon making entry, it was discovered that a laundry room was completely involved in fire, which caused heavy smoke damage throughout the first floor.

The fire was initially reported as a vegetation fire in the back yard of the residence but rapidly spread to the residence. There were also reports of multiple explosions. The fire was centered on a second-story deck off the rear of the three-unit apartment building. There was extensive head and smoke damage to the structure but no injuries.
