This odd little structure is located in the Landmark Sinkhole. Larger sinkholes like this one have been known to swallow up structures like houses, barns, and buildings.

In the 1270's, the Mogollon People built these elaborate stone-walled structures in caves above cliff dweller creek. By the year 1300, the entire community abandoned this location and mysteriously vanished into history. It's likely they dispersed across the four corners region, possibly assimilating into other tribes.

The making of the Modern Wing

The port wing on this restored Avro Anson II at the Hangar Flight Museum in Calgary, Alberta, Canada has been left skinless to reveal the internal structure.

This black and white photo shows a row of trees covered with a thick layer of hoarfrost. The ice crystals have artfully settled on the branches and twigs, indicating the cold December temperatures. The structures of the hoarfrost can be seen clearly and in detail and contrast strongly with the dark sky in the background. An old stone wall runs in the foreground of the picture, creating a historical and timeless atmosphere. The shadows of the trees fall on the wall, creating a play of light and shadow. This photo was taken on the Wülzburg, a former fortress near the Franconian town of Weißenburg in the Altmühltal Nature Park.
