Structuring Human Habitat - Taking up the space on the corner of Roosevelt Street, a very large apartment building is under construction in the art district, central Phoenix. When I've taken photos of these works, I always miss them at the "in progress" stage, for the finished buildings often have so little character and the facades are boring. As always, I enjoy line play and the contrast of light, shadow and geometries.
This house is located on the Coonley Estate and joined with some of the other structures. I assumed this part was also by Wright, but there seems to be little accessible information on it. Perhaps, it is a later construction in a similar style.
HARDEVILLE, S.C. – Col. Thomas J. Tickner, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District, receives a tour of the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Aug. 19. Established in 1927 and operated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the refuge provides more than 29,000 acres of freshwater marshes, tidal rivers and bottomland hardwood habitat. The Corps has performed several projects for the refuge, including a series of freshwater control structures completed in 2010. As a federal partner, the Corps often consults with the FWS when making water management decisions affecting the Savannah River Basin. The FWS is also a cooperating federal agency in the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project.

Took these shots of the Beautiful Deoksugung Palace in the Center of Seoul, Korea.
info from Wikipedia:
Deoksugung, also known as Gyeongun-gung, Deoksugung Palace, or Deoksu Palace, is a walled compound of palaces in Seoul that was inhabited by various Korean royalties until the colonial period around the turn of the 20th century. It is one of the "Five Grand Palaces" built by the kings of the Joseon Dynasty.[1] The buildings are of varying construction, including some of natural cryptomeria wood[citation needed]), painted wood, and stucco. Some buildings were built in Western style.
In addition to the traditional palace buildings, there are also forested gardens, a statue of King Sejong the Great and the National Museum of Art, which holds special exhibitions. The palace is located near the City Hall Station.
Deoksugung, like the other "Five Grand Palaces" in Seoul, was intentionally heavily destroyed during the colonial period of Korea. Currently, only one third of the structures that were standing before the occupation, remains.[2]

The pneumatic structures were designed and built by 43 students in Architecture 235, a second year design studio course, to be pop-up galleries that on the inside display the work of a project.
