Memory lane

A couple of weeks ago, my brother Reinier, who lives in Iowa, was visiting the Netherlands.

We took the opportunity to take a stroll down memory lane visiting the neighborhood and street where we were both born (in 1949 and 1951) and where we lived until going to college. We reminisced what we used to do here and who used to live there.

He brought along his young daughter Klaertje in her stroller and her presence added a bit of present-day reality to our otherwise nostalgic going back in time...
