The pond at Delores Fenwick Nature Park, Pearland, Texas, was low this day and a family of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks ventured out for a stroll.
"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade" - Charles Dickens

Shot along a New England covered bridge with the Olympus E-M1, Mark II and the Olympus M.12-200mm F3.5-6.3 lens.
This photo was taken on warmer days, but still, it was a cold day then. However, the sun and bright sky made all the difference. Have a wonderful peaceful day.
The Estate Backershagen goes back to at least 1681 but Prince Frederic who became the owner in 1846 started to landscape the park in English style with a Chinese twist (sorry, Wikipedia text is only in Dutch). The place has now various owners and is accessible for the general public. It's worth a bike ride, but even better: a stroll.
“Between its courtyard and its garden, the Hôtel de Béthune-Sully is one of the most beautiful private mansions in Paris. At the heart of the Marais, this 17th century monument was home to Henry IV's minister, Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully. Since 1967 it has been the headquarters of the Centre des monuments nationaux.” Although it is not open to the public, you can stroll by and enjoy the beautiful architecture and the gardens.
Can anyone id this fella? Is it a type of gull? A young one maybe?
Both late afternoon and the following morning this little guy (or gull? Bad joke sorry) was wandering on the beach near me on its own as I was taking photos...
Taken at the lovely Allans Beach today...it was a perfect day for beach walking.
