“Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved” Students of classes II to V from St. Angel’s School, Gurugram participated in the competition “Strokes of Bravery” in which they represented courageous personalities who scarified their own comfort and freedom to contribute to the growth of society. The students portrayed personalities like Dr. Anandi Bai Joshi, Rani Laxmi Bai, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, Malala Yousafzai, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Sarojini Naidu, Indira Gandhi etc. whose stories are real life examples of what courage and bravery actually mean. School vice Principal, Ms. Anita Yadav congratulated all the participants and motivated them to be inspired by the strong personalities in society and contribute their own bit to make a difference.

I'm entering this into the Greeblepix November Thankfulness photo contest. I know it's not the best quality but the best camera you have is the one you have with you. In this case it was my iPhone. My grandmother suffered a stroke and in this picture I was able to connect her with family that lives in TX. I give huge thanks that she made it through the stroke, that she's recovering (even if it is slow going), free Wi-Fi from the hospital and Skype for the free video call.
