One of my favourite Frieze sculptures in Regents Park, this one called "Stroke" by Tony Cragg 2014.

wii the strokes ♥

So here as i promissed finally the pictures

of the layout.

140 x 140 studs.

The whole last years work next to the other projects i finished.

Endless bricklink orders.

Endless hours watching the movie to get the things right.

Still a few things are missing i have to add until i propably present it at the LEGO Fanwelt event end of this year.

The part with the black tiles is still under construction with a few more smaller buildings, but for the last exhibition there was no space to walk around the layout anyway, so i saved some time building them.

This is my biggest layout so far.

For the detail shots check the BTTF set:

Signs of a stroke (and other mental problems).

My friends, I am back officialy, in one of the sadest periods of my country's history...Please if you have time, just a couple of minutes, read if you like what I have written below...No pressure...

I was born in 1977. I am 35 to 36 and in my whole life up to this day I could never believe that someone, a government that suppose to be democratic, would do such a thing as the fascist, anti democratic closure of our National Television and Radio Networks. Not even the military junta of 1967 hadn't closed them. This has happened only once in the past during the nazi invasion in 1941, with the predecessor of E.R.T., E.I.R. (Ethniko Idrima Radiofonias = National Radio Foundation) as it was called back then, that was passed under their control...

The memories of my childhood are filled with ERT's children's programs...Fairytales and narations, Marionettes, Shadow plays, Theatre, Music, Docymentaries and News from around the world...From ERT I learned to love music, studying and opening my eyes to what's out there...From ERT I saw the War of Falklands, Nicaragua, the Soviet invasion in Afghanistan, all the anti communist rebellions in Europe, the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the Collapse of USSR, etc...We had only two TV channels when I was a child (ET1, ET2) and a bit later in the mid 80's a third from Thessaloniki (ET3). Trust me, it was enough...It felt enough and covered our needs...

ERT is the foundation of culture and quality. The goal of ERT is not gaining profit from selling garbage and subculture programs, like the private channels do, and has always payed taxes to the state, but the state has always owed money to ERT. ERT recieves no money from the private channels for capturing the frequencies that are an ERT property under a Presidential Decree!!! Private channels are transmit their program without a licence, they are illegal, yet the fascist government shut down the only channels that have a licence and have been transmitting legaly: The ERT Networks!!!

The fascist state has never supported Τhe National Symphony Orchestra of ERT, the ERT Classical Sets and Concerts. The people, the musicians that work there are true ambassadors of our country and culture... The fascist government called them useless (!!!) and has fired them!!! The fascist government forbade Τhe National Symphony Orchestra of ERT from giving concerts anymore...anywhere!!!

ERT has great war correspondents, that are sent everywhere in the world. The private channels do not have war correspondents and buy (sometimes borrow without paying) matterial from the ERT exceptional archives!...again the fascist government called the people working in ERT lazy and the ERT haven of waste and corruption!!!

ERT has many radio stations all over the country...The main ones here in Athens: ERA.NET (News), ERA2 (News, Music), ERA3 (Classical - Orchestral Music and Cultural), Kosmos (Modern, Jazz, Ethinc Music), ERA Sport, Filia (=meaning friendship) which is a radio made for the immigrants and many other local radios that broadcast for the rest of the country...

The evening of that day I saw the TV screen blackened, that day I heard the void in the radio stations...I was broken, I cried, I felt betraded, it felt like my heart was ripped apart...It felt like I was obliged not to hear, not to see and feel...Someone decided that I have to become "blind", "deaf", enslaved to the hearing, seeing and feeling of their choices...I almost fainted from the shock that stroke me...

My countrymen that live in small villages up there high in the mountains, or in the border regions on my country, at the islands what will listen and watch? Private channels do not care for them...The municipalities, the people, have to pay the private channels to instal transmitters, whilst ERT has always made sure that even the last person in the farest place of my country will watch and hear ERT. They have always kept their posts there and made sure...now silence.... The worst thing?...the neighbouring countries channels are stealing the frequencies that belong to ERT... The Hellenes that live all over the world, in diaspora, the Hellenes that live in Northern Epirus, in Imbros and Tenedos, in Constantinople (Istanbul) and our Cypriot brothers...lost the voice, the contact with the motherland...because the fascist government has also shut down ERT World...We also cannot watch RIK Sat transmission (Cypriot Radio Television)...

The fascist government shut down the "Radiotileorasi" magazine that has been edited from ERT from more than 70 years...A superior quality magazine that apart from the radio and television weekly program promoted culture, cinema, concerts, theatre and books...

The fascist government stated that "None read that magazine, that was only for...artsies..." (!!!)

The fascist government perhaps consider...artsy people a inferior group of people that have to be segregated from the society... People like me that like to read about music and culture should be isolated...culture is a crime, education as well...

The people here have become pirates! Yes, we all listen and watch the ERT pirate program...the "illegal transmission" of ERT from the web! The PC's open early in the morning and close late...early the following morning...

EBU has become a great supporter as well as all the people of Europe and the world that support us! What can I say for you all? I truly send you my love...for the support and seeing the truth behind the lies of the fascists that rule my country...Thank you all so very much...

-------------------------------------------------------

These are the photos I took yesterday from the ERT protest inside the front yard of ERT headquarters...I went there from early in the morning to late at night...It was a weekday so not so many people. But during the night you see that people came...Today that is Saturday the number of people is thrice as much...There will be held concerts, people bring food and cook lunch that offer for free...The same protests happen to Thessaloniki in the ERT3 offices and all over the country in the cities that have ERT offices...

The people didn't leave for the weekend...they didn't go to the beaches...

I wonder is this a time for fun and relaxation? No...

My first trip to Costco after my stroke. I used the grocery cart for support. I left the walker in the car.

Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the U.S. and causes more serious long-term disabilities than any other disease. Every minute counts, especially during the COVID-19 crisis. The best way to help someone having a stroke is to recognize the symptoms and call 9-1-1. www.stroke.nih.gov/index.htm

There is one car in the National Technical Museum collection the transformation of which symbolizes the country's fate. It is the most luxurious and most expensive car of the Daimler-Benz pre-war production — the supercharged eight-cylinder Mercedes Benz 770. This cabriolet from 1939, which was originally commissioned for the commander of the German troops in occupied Norway, was used in Czechoslovakia after the war for the most important state ceremonies. In 1948, the Communists took over all power in the country and in a few years began

to adopt an ideological attitude to automobiles too. The state cabriolet was for this reason given a completely new body in the Vysoke Milto Body Works in 1952. On the outside, there was nothing that would remind anyone of its imperialistic origin — the car took on a new form, and for that matter the dictatorship did too.

Passenger car with a superchargea water-cooled four-stroke eight-cylinder OHV engine placed length-wise behind the front axle and with rear-wheel drive.

Engine capacity 7655 cc,

output 230 bhp,

maximum speed 170 km/h.

Producer: Daimler-Benz A.G., Stuttgart, Germany

(chassis) and Karosa, n. p., Vysoke Mctto, Czechoslovakia (body)
