My very first six string. It's a Givson (yes, giVson, that's not a typo). It's been 4 years since I bought it, and I still can't play the Sweet Child solo :D wonder why it looks like a bass guitar here..

Macro of the strings of a Hagstrom FXB-220 bass guitar. I know everyone does this shot, but I do like the effect of the strings.

Numbered strings of one of Harry Partch's Harmonic Canons. The numbers are used as a reference for the tuning instructions in his scores.
... or should I have said stingers attached... :)
after 3 days in the hospital I had the joy of participating on an angiogram yesterday. It seems so casual when they slide you over onto the narrow table and then say its time to remove all of your clothing... after watching the 8 nurses and technicians prepping me and walking around the room I let go with a few comments that had the whole room in laughter and a couple walked out to compose themselves. Still didn't change the fact that I was all buck and shivering on the table. The good news is there is no blockage in my arteries... the string attached is that somewhere along my travels I have picked up a virus that has attacked my heart and it's now working at about 25%. Boy, when you stop to think about it, there are so many strings attached to our decisions and actions throughout our lives... and the biggie ones are the strings attached to our actions that reach out and touch the lives of those around us......... my sincere prayer this holiday season is that we can all take inventory of the "strings" and attempt to touch as many people as possible with the positive ones.... :)
Blessings.....

The original shot can be seen here. All the Photoshop in the world can't save a shaky hand :(.
Doing a colour cast correction in a Curves layer really deepened the colours though.
Kirk Thor's comment was the basis for the changes made.
