Eine Halskette für eine Dame. Ganz erfrischend.

... not as durable as real pearls – but just as sparkling ;-)
Leaf of a common (not nasty) woman's coat, that's the name of the plant here in Germany. Matching with this, you sometimes wear pearl necklaces as a lady ;-)

I’ve been super busy at work with one of the girls on holiday, but really hope to steal some time to catch up today :))

I am in such a terrible mood this afternoon. My daughter has been so clingy lately. She has been enjoying her ballet lessons for the last couple of weeks but today she absolutely refused to let me go and wouldn't join her class. I am beside myself. To calm myself down, I took this photo but I'm not really happy with it. Or maybe I'm not happy with the way I handled things today.
Macro Mondays-Leaf
Though they are spherical in shape, these are the small pea-sized leaves on my String Of Pearls.

This little blossom is opening up on my String Of Pearls plant. I have never seen a flower like this before so I am anxious to see what it looks like when fully open.
Just another bit of my front porch. As you can see, we live next to an unpaved alley—our white wood doesn't stay clean. We've completely given up.

Pearl was my very first String Of Pearls plant and this was the first planter of this type I've ever bought. I love it!

This came in the mail today :) Thank you so much for the plant, Drew!
Update: They still haven't formed into balls, so I'm guessing this is another kind of plant. Geez.
We went out for lunch at the Thai Express last week, and they gave me this lovely orchid on my plate. It's edible. I thought I'd let Pearl display it.
A short string of pearls all IN A ROW! My wife wore this bracelet on our wedding day so it has special significance for me. I coiled the bracelet partly for composition reasons but also to stay within the size constraints for the theme.
Technical: 20 photographs of the bracelet on a mirror with a black background, illuminated with natural window light and then stacked in Helicon Focus. Cropped in Lightroom. Dust spot removal (from the mirror) in Photoshop. I then created a second exposure layer which was 2.5 stops darker and used this to mask in the reflected bracelet to tone down the reflections; this layer was set to 83% opacity as 2.5 stops was too much but I've found it's better to over-correct and use opacity rather than wish you'd darkened the reflection more only to have to repeat the painstaking process. Back in Lightroom I boosted the Clarity (+14) and Vibrance (+31). Finally, the image was sharpened in LR.
Happy Macro Monday everyone!
