A view through a glass storefront window reveals an interior art gallery with white walls decorated with numerous small black shapes and framed pictures. Inside, a large brown sculpture stands near a string of warm lights on the left while people are visible in the background. Outside the window, a group of people stands in a dimly lit area looking into the brightly lit space.
This is Liz & Mike! They had a very classy wedding at The Pearl in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It was the first weekend of November but we still managed to get beautiful weather. :)

Japan "loves" Christmas, but in a distinctly non-religious, highly commercialized, & romantic way, w/ a focus on couples, special meals like KFC & Christmas cake, dazzling illuminations, & gift exchanges, while reserving family traditions & major holidays for the New Year.
Key Characteristics of Japanese Christmas:
Romantic Focus: Christmas Eve is a popular date night for couples, similar to Valentine's Day, involving fancy dinners & strolling to see illuminations.
Secular Celebration: It's a widely enjoyed holiday for everyone, not tied to Christianity, which is a minority religion in Japan.
Unique Food Traditions:
KFC: A massive tradition, people order Kentucky Fried Chicken in advance for their Christmas Eve dinner.
Christmas Cake: A strawberry shortcake is a classic dessert, symbolizing wealth & good fortune.
Spectacular Illuminations: Cities host elaborate light displays (illuminations) from Nov to Feb, becoming major attractions for couples & visitors.
Gift Giving: While not as central as in the West, gifts are exchanged, often placed by children's pillows or shared by couples.
Not a National Holiday: Christmas Day is a workday, w/ festivities concentrated on Christmas Eve.
