Time, mystical time
Cuttin' me open, then healin' me fine
Were there clues I didn't see?
And isn't it just so pretty to think
All along there was some
Invisible string
Tying you to me?
A string that pulled me
Out of all the wrong arms right into that dive bar
Something wrapped all of my past mistakes in barbed wire
Chains around my demons, wool to brave the seasons
One single thread of gold tied me to you

Vas'ka likes to play with a string attached to a stick. Previously, there was a toy kitten at the end of the lace, but Yashka tore it off.
Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!
Recently I saw in the big fat Swedish furniture shop (finally we went back there) that they had smooth stones wrapped in string as table decoration. Excellent idea I thought! I can do the same with small stones for this Monday. The black stone (no doubt I picked it up on some volcanic island) is 1 1/2" long.
Another shot from my garden on a rainy morning last week. All of the flowers looked lovely covered in raindrops..but it was the tulips that stole the show. They held the droplets so beautifully...they were swollen and clear looking like glass beads. This tulip in particular looked like it had on a raindrop necklace. Please view large :-)
Thank you so much for the faves and comments...I really do appreciate all the encouragement, and love all of the images and stories you share...they give me so much inspiration :-)
Have a great Monday!
This is a very thin (about 2 mm in diameter) string wound of even thinner silky threads, sealing clips at both ends. I put it (in a double ring form ) on the inside of a foam kiss cartonage with a shiny silver surface that gives a soft, diffused reflection. The warm light comes from a candle.
A long and colorful string of fun to all participants 💙♥️💚💜💛
A small piece of a kite string formed to a knot which is approx. 2 ¼” x 1.5” in this macro.

This guitar belonged to my Son in Laws father. I didn't realize this until this morning while shooting it. I didn't even want to wipe the dust off. I noticed how the wires formed into a heart if I held the guitar at the correct angle. I took other angles like pictures of the strings over the frets but realized they were already done. So it may not be very pretty but I'm thinking no one else will have a "heart string."
Drizzling rain on a string of fairy lights over a Brisbane shopping centre, sees against brown air-conditioning vents.
I wonder how many photos of string have been posted in Flickr throughout the years. Baker's dozen times a couple grand?

String Lake. String Lake Loop /Leigh Lake Trail leads first to String Lake, a shallow and therefore a bit warmer than most of the Alpine Lakes in the park is a popular area for picnics, swimming and paddling. Trail continues on to Leigh Lake. Nice hike and wonderful Alpine Pine scents along the way through the pines in GTNP.
