here again, my friend recipe . She used to drink this...thanks Helminadia....

It reminds me of strepsils, one of familiar sore treat relief and funny incident happened when I couldn't take any medicine whereas I couldn't stay of laryngitis I had . After I got free checking up at government hospital at the same time I went to private doctor with full of hopping could get a medicine. Alas!.....the pharmacist only gave me strepsils due to doctor prescription :P

There's a good reason for the guitar - tonight my band will be playing an acoustic set for the first time in ages.

There's a good reason for the Strepsils which you can't see in the photo but which I've been popping one after the other - I have a very very sore throat.

There's a good reason for that stool - it's one of the few things from the old old old house I grew up in that has survived and is still a part of our lives. Some days I think it's ugly, most days I just remember my real home.

There's no good reason for the nekkid.

Thanks to jaiel for the texture.

I'm feeling so ill right now. I've just been drinking lemsip which is pretty horrible.

I'm poorly & I keep going on about it. I'm that sort of person. I want attention when I'm not feeling well. Of course, I've not actually told anyone I live with that I'm sick.

This is totally gross, but I skyped my Dad earlier (NOT THAT HE REPLIED) & said:

Dude, I just totally threw up. Luckily I was standing by my sink when it happened, but it was disgusting nonetheless. SO, I have a fever, a strange mixture of both a chesty & dry cough, a sore throat, a runny nose, partial loss of voice due to sore throat, & now nausea & vomiting.

Awesome.

Also, I think while throwing up I probably expelled my cough medicine which I'd only taken a little bit earlier, but I don't want to take it again in case I overdose & get drowsy.

Obviously I'm the picture of health. I'm taking nurofen to lower the fever, cough medicine (for the cough, obviously), this antiseptic throat spray that numbs your throat (& tongue, if you have a really bad aim & keep spraying it there), & then strepsils. My MedRen seminar tutor saw me in the lecture today & gave me cough sweets. I thought that was nice of her.

I keep falling asleep, & then flushing between shivering cold & boiling hot. It hurts to breathe, & I can only take little short breaths. When I go outside it's even worse. I feel like I'm on the verge of an asthma attack. I'm gasping for breath, & the cold makes it hurt so much more. I have to slow my walk down to a snail's pace otherwise I really can't get enough breath. It's so painful to breathe when I go outside that I'm constantly on the verge of tears. It's horrific. My asthma has always been much worse in extreme cold (I have a particularly vivid memory of being in my old bedroom - so I must have been younger than 13 - & waking up one morning & just gasping & gasping for breath until I felt like I was able to get up). My Mom dismisses this claim. Thing is, I rarely ever bother with an inhaler unless it's really cold, so the surgery thinks I don't need them anymore. I do, I just usually take my Mom's. So now I don't have an inhaler, & I'm very much against going to our local surgery (I will never forgive them for their unprofessional behaviour) & I've not bothered to sign up to the health centre here. I've avoided the doctor's so long I didn't think there was much point.

Anyway, I'm coughing away again & struggling for breath still. Also, I can only really breathe through my mouth because of this cold, which is drying my throat out & making it even more sore. My lips are so painful but I don't want to use any of my nice lip balms on them because then they'll be germy.

I have an extension on my essay due in tomorrow, which is great because I've literally just been spending my time in a darkened room (light is seriously painful right about now).

My Mom called me earlier when I text her to tell her the latest development in my illness (because everyone should know), which I thought was nice of her.

I have to go out for 2 hours tonight, but I think it's going to make me so much worse. It's going to be so cold, & I'm going to struggle to breathe, & it's going to hurt to cough & breathe, & I'll be sneezing, & really I'll just want a hot shower & bed.

The really annoying thing is that I'd planned some nice things this week - shopping in Birmingham, the Christmas Party, - & I'm going to be ill the whole way through!

October 7, 2016. Waled to the drug store at lunch today (passing b this pumpkin display) to get nasal mist and Strepsils - I've been struggling with a bad throat ever since my cold last week. Ugh.

Accomplishments:

- Statements-of-work for three small projects

- promotional slides for the small projects

Even a packet of Strepsils can make an interesting subject. :)

i've had a cold/sore throat thing all week, and as my first day off comes round it decides to get worse.

not bad enough to stop me seeing 'son of rambow', but bad enough to stop me going to the gym.

i've been eating strepsils (which i don't recommend in my professional capacity)

and i suppose today is a milestone day. 50 days down :)

Sewed the inner dress, been really busy looking after my little Strepsils so didn't manage to complete the other dress. Still haven't painted my DWC1 too..opps! and this week i'm back to work more..dollies will have to wait.

I'm still playing around with the camera, getting to know it. I had a slight sore throat in the night, so took a Strepsil this morning. We had a quiet day at home, and I had a bath, put away the Christmas decorations, and a few other admin tasks.

This test was done using the self timer with my camera balanced on a box at ISO 100. (I'm not feeling all that well today so don't feel up to doing a completely controlled test).

However the sharpness looks pretty good throughout.

When I zoom in on Lightroom I can read the titles on the two golden coloured book spines. I can also read the word Strepsils on the side of the box in the cupboard second from the left, third shelf up.

So far it's looking as if this will be a very useable lens. This is exactly as it came out of the camera.

Urgh.

I managed to get a couple of bugs before Christmas but survived the majority of the Festive season without being ill. That is until the last few days.

It's basically a cold so can't complain too much, however was a little concerned yesterday when I also started to be sick. However that seems to have passed (fingers crossed!).

Back to where I started.

Just after this shot, my un-rechargable battery went out. Lucky, eh?

I knew I wanted this to be my last shot, but I wasn't sure how to do it.

I've never done a top-down shot before, and it was a bit tricky, but I think I got it perfect with the tripod.

To all people out there who’ll catch a cold tonight,

while drinking champagne,

sending fireworks into the sky,

wandering alone,

or meeting people...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

(Click to see large and be able to read the text in the picture ;) )

I don't usually eat canned food (unless there's really no choice), but there's something really comforting about the Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. I don't particularly LOVE it, but I worked late today and forgot to have dinner at work. I came home, opened a can of Chicken Noodle Soup, made myself a mug of hot green tea and sat down with the Asian Wall Street Journal.

Good stuff. I'm not sure if its too good for my throat though, I started coughing really badly today. It's the dry cough, so my throat hurts like a bitch everytime I cough. I need Strepsils, but I don't have them at home, and I'm too lazy to go to 7-11 to get them, so I am hoping the green tea will soothe it.

I CANNOT afford to get sick now, I have got a submission tomorrow for which I've worked my ass off for the past month; and underwent many many verbal trashings by my male superior who seems like he has PMS as well.

Photo taken with my Sony Ericsson w800i Walkman Phone cause I was too lazy to go upstairs to grab my LX2. Plus it was running low on battery as well.
