Like a shot of Grand Central Station, I'm sure this isn't the first time you've seen this iconic view of Washington Street, framing the Manhattan Bridge, framing the Empire State building in the neighborhood of Dumbo (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), Brooklyn, New York. Well here's my shot from last year on hike around the city with Mathias, aka., m_laRs_k. So many people, I'll bet the view is very different today but I won't know because I'm at home, staying safe, transforming daffodils into art of sorts. all the best and stay safe!

his face, weathered like old leather, told stories no words could reach. from the street, i caught a glimpse of him—his hands folded, his gaze steady, as if lost between memory and the present. the café den coll, open to the street, framed the scene like a stage. he spoke to another man, but his thoughts seemed miles away. i focused my lens on him, drawn to the weight of his silence, the years etched in his features. the slate beside him bore the words "se feliz," a handwritten reminder, almost ironic in its quiet boldness. perhaps it’s the simplest wisdom, the hardest to follow: be happy.
a man leans over his notes behind a warped sheet of plastic, his gesture caught inside a shimmering world of soft reflections. the green glow above drifts like a distant signal, and the scene turns a simple moment into a quiet fragment of urban dream.
Seems like a set swap is on for XC02 with 43008 making its final scheduled passenger service prior to it and 43007 operating a farewell rail tour, 1V50 captured here passing over Landor Street framed by the WCML over bridge.

This 1935 Ford custom pickup was the recipient of a three-year restoration to custom Resto-Mod specifications. It is powered by a supercharged twin 4-barrel 427ci big-block V8 engine, twin 4-barrel carburetor and supercharged with a Weiand 8-71 blower. The engine breathes through a ceramic-coated 3-inch dual exhaust and custom-built headers with Flo-Pro mufflers. Power is backed by a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission with a Ford 9-inch posi-traction rear end. This pickup sits on a Dale Gerry custom Pro-Street frame with tubular A-arms with air bags and has Mustang rack & pinion steering. Stopping power is courtesy of with 10-inch Chevrolet front disc brakes and 11-inch Corvette rear discs. This pickup rolls on Budnik Pentacle 15x7-inch front wheels and 15x14-inch rears, with front Nexen tires and rear Hoosier tires. This pickup body features the original steel, with the top chopped 3.5 inches, a front-lift three-piece hood, modified side covers with chromed inserts, a custom wood bed, LED lights, hidden hinges, shaved handles and a molded windshield. It is finished in a custom mix of Monarch Orange with Gold Pearl, with custom Gold flames by Jim Webster. It also features a fully custom Ultraleather upholstered interior equipped with a Vintage Air system.

In 2025, Barrett-Jackson earned $198 million by selling 2013 car lots and $5.2 million from 957 pieces of automobilia. A further $6.2 million was raised for charity.
The first production 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 VIN001 achieved $3.7 million as a charity lot and the highest result at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2025 collector car auction in Arizona, USA. The most expensive regular lots were a 2023 Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster ($2,200,000) and a 2014 Pagani Huayra ($1,925,000). DJ Marshmello’s 2020 Ford GT Liquid Carbon Special Edition achieved a strong $1,780,000.
The top four results at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2025 collector car auction were all for modern supercars. The top result was for charity (see below) while the most expensive regular car in the sale was for the nearly new 2023 Hennessy Venom F5 Roadster. This F5 Roadster was the second of only 30 produced and was sold with only 681 miles on the clock.

The photo is about two person where one person is holding an umbrella and sitting outside of the shop and gossiping with the shopkeeper and the shopkeeper is sitting inside the shop and watching the camera hiding his half face. It seems like there is only one person and he is watching the camera from the shop.
