I liked the stream from this angle, and thought it would make a good painting - but the jury is out on my first attempt.

We hiked yesterday in the redwoods above Villa Montalvo in Saratoga, CA. At the half way point, we rested on the rocks near this little stream.

Warm sunlight reflects off a stream on a cold January afternoon.

Henry County, Georgia

Kodak Ultramax 400 film.

Madonna del Feles, on a cold rainy afternoon - in fact note the snow almost completely melted - the wet leaves, survived the cold winter, have taken on more vivid shades: the water, wetting them, has increased their color and has made them more shiny. A precious opportunity, not to be wasted... in fact, the large chestnut leaves, dry, are of an orangeish brown that isn't really a splendor.

A small stream quietly winds it's way through the countryside.

During our cruise down the Yangtze River in China, we boarded a small touring boat like the one shown in the bottom right of this image and set out to explore the scenic Goddess Stream (aka Shennv Stream). The beautiful stream is located in Wushan County along the Yangtze River. between Qinshi Town and Feifeng Peak.

This is a photo of sculpted sand and a stream flowing across Clam Harbour Beach.

I was in Virginia on business earlier this week. Autumn is in full swing up there. On the drive up there, I was on a tight schedule and couldn't stop to take pictures. If you've never driven through western Virginia, you are definitely missing out. The mountains, the beautiful rolling foothills, a lot of classic scenes of rural America, etc. In other words....a million photo ops.

Fortunately on the way home yesterday, I wasn't on a schedule, so I took a trip up into the mountains off I-81, through a town called Vesuvius. I eventually ended up visiting a place called Crabtree Falls (sheer luck). On the way, I passed by several spots on this mountain stream and stopped a couple of times to shoot it. The entire place was breathtaking.
