This is a close-up photo of the current in a shallow stream of water flowing across Clam Harbour Beach, the day after a heavy rain. I love the yellow gold colour of the beach sand in this image, and the subtle network of sunlight refracting through the contours of the current. (This detail is seen best when the image is enlarged.)
Another photo from Rocky Mountain National Park, but this one is under the light of the moon at about 8:00 pm!
This spot is right before you get to Dream Lake, which is about a 2 mile hike one-way. I believe that's Hallett Peak in the distance (12,731 feet)

As you hike up towards Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, CO you'll pass a little stream. In the evening, the winds die down and it's possible to get a long exposure shot with very little movement, if any at all.
The "Woman with a Jug" fountain stands in the center of Dietl Square in Szczawnica. The figure of a half-naked woman with a jug has become one of the most recognizable symbols of the spa town. Originally, in 1957, a concrete statue designed by Stanisław Marcinow was placed in its place. In 2012, the old sculpture was replaced with a new one, made of bronze by Michał Batkiewicz, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków.
Even though October is over, a faint light shines
And the mountain stream is still lush like summer
Was there.
Starting with a drop of water from the upper reaches of the mountain
Eventually, they merged and the stream of water in the mountain stream
Is revived lively, not to mention Yamano
It also brings moisture and precious grace to us.
Yosemite, CA L to View Large
Again, this was a quick stop I made when I was leaving Yosemite valley road.

Secret / Fact #2: I hate crowded places, like Disneyland; I can not stand the smell of sweaty people walking right next to me.
NOTE: This is an HDR photo composed of 3 pictures (+2, 0, -2) using Adobe Photoshop CS4 (ver. 11) OSX version.

Weak sunlight leaks through this dark mountain stream
It only shoots for about 10 minutes at this time,
Take that very few moments in your hands
Standing alone in a cold mountain stream and looking at one point
Wait while waiting, but as a result capture the moment
I couldn't get it.

Just a slightly long exposure on a stream of water.
Although here, more than anything else, I was interested in the general dialogue between colors.
Shot taken in a time of the day (in this case during the evening) when the surrounding light is more delicate and allows to capture these subtleties.

Though the chances of replying to every single comment and fave is unlikely, please keep in mind that I appreciate every single comment & favorite tremendously. I thank you in advance, with an abundance of sincerity, for taking the time to look at my photos.
The Huntington:
A private, nonprofit institution, The Huntington was founded in 1919 by Henry E. Huntington, an exceptional businessman who built a financial empire that included railroad companies, utilities, and real estate holdings in Southern California.
Huntington was also a man of vision – with a special interest in books, art, and gardens. During his lifetime, he amassed the core of one of the finest research libraries in the world, established a splendid art collection, and created an array of botanical gardens with plants from a geographic range spanning the globe. These three distinct facets of The Huntington are linked by a devotion to research, education, and beauty.
In 1919, Henry and Arabella Huntington signed the indenture that transferred their San Marino property and collections to a nonprofit educational trust, creating The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens, which hosts more than 500,000 visitors each year.
This picture was taken at Buskill Falls, Pennsylvania, USA. It's called the Niagara of Penn State. It's a small stream that runs through the park. It was taken hand held.

This is a photo of a turbulent current flowing over a small rock in a stream in Shubie Park in Dartmouth. The image has been copied and mirrored twice to be symmetrical, and is best seen full screen. The symmetry has revealed a dark shape that suggests a ship like a Viking long boat viewed from above. This reminds me of the metaphor of the Ship of Souls, on its journey of navigation to the realm of the afterlife.
I made this photo of a women drinking from a water fountain during an extended outing to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Melody and I had left the Conservatory of Flowers Victorian Greenhouse that we had visited with our friend Anita. I did not have much time to use the telephoto capabilities of my Canon Powershot SX50 to capture this image of light reflecting off the water in the fountain onto the face of this woman as she was drinking.

Sorry for the bad update! I blame it all on school for the moment! I have been studying all day long (and some part of the night as well) to learn like everything about how light works.. You see we had a test yesterday about that so for the moment I am free! Sadly I can´t give you any of my new pictures that I would like to show you because my computer is at my dad´s house and I am at my mum´s hous for the moment. So here you have a really old picutre instead! Or, really old might have been a hard word, it is more than a year old! So now I hope I will have some more time to give you all some more photos (hopefully new ones!!)
I bought a white & blue handkerchief for field work and as a travel cloth. Little did I know that wetting it reveals secret bonus powers like:
- Turning skin purple!
- Staining clothes and rugs alike!
- Transforming into a solid blue cloth!
- Dripping for hours!
Jackpot, right?
This is for Daily Shoot's Single Subject.
I know it doesn't really completely fill up the frame but I like the water flowing past the camera :)
The beautiful structure of the Eilean Donan Castle (located on its own island) with a stone bridge connecting the island to the main. The area around the castle has a green surface with an outer boundary of dry land. The texture of the dry land seems to indicate that it is covered with the lake water from time to time. There is some water near the bridge, but mostly dry. The water of the Loch is to the other side of the castle. The Eilean Donan castle is located on the Eilean Donan island, located in the western Highlands of Scotland at a distance of around 1 km from the nearby village of Dornie. The Castle is located on the Loch Duich. The island was named after Donnan of Eigg, a martyred Celtic saint, which was martyred in 617. He was supposed to have built a church here, but there are no remains of this church. The castle was built approximately in the 13th century, and was finally destroyed in the early 18th century after the clan in the castle were involved in the Jacobite uprising. The castle belongs to the Clan Macrae. It is also famous as the castle that is one of the most famous castles of Scotland, being highly photographed. The current structure of the castle is after reconstruction in the twentieth century, this reconstruction being done by Lt. Col. John MacRae-Gilstrap, and to make the whole place more tourist friendly, a bridge was constructed to give easier access to the castle. Now the castle is the 3rd most visited castle in Scotland.
I took this last spring near the steps that are on parc Mont-Royal at Peel street and Pine avenue. Reminds me, winter is coming.
Every few minutes, the face on the fountain changes. The lips purse, the eyes look down, and out comes this stream of water from the face's mouth. Soooo incredibly cool to watch!! After this, the face changes, and we get to see someone new on each 50' glass water fountain.
