Streamlined - Christmas Special. Tweede kerstdag, een mooie gelegenheid voor een mooi feest, zo aan het eind van 2009. En dat was Streamlined zeker. Een van de laatste en tegelijkertijd beste feestjes van het afgelopen jaar 2009! Met meesterlijke sets van Aly & Fila en mr. Streamlined himself: Leon Bolier. Heerlijke sets van hen beiden die avond, zonder de overige dj's te kort te doen overigens. Het klopte allemaal deze avond/nacht. Ik heb een topnacht beleefd tenminste :) En nagenieten kan ook nog eens een keer. Met de livesets van die avond (live broadcast van Afterhours.fm, thx. guys) en natuurlijk de geweldige yearmix 2009 van Leon! Bijna 4 uur intens (na)genieten! De mooiste tracks van 2009 komen nog een keer langs, meesterlijk gewoon! Thx. Leon! En allemaal de beste wensen voor 2010 natuurlijk. Ik hoop jullie snel weer te zien op een mooi feest!

A streamlined Talgo 350 train in Seville’s Santa Justa railway station. This is part of the Alta Velocidad Española (AVE) service of high-speed rail in Spain, which operates at speeds of up to 310 km/h (193 mph). Alta Velocidad Española translates to ‘Spanish High Speed’, but the initials are also a play on the word ave, meaning ‘bird’. The Spanish AVE system is the longest HSR network in Europe.

The Keweenaw Waterway Upper Entrance Light was established in 1950 to guide vessels navigating the northern end of the Keweenaw Waterway, an important maritime thoroughfare in Houghton County, Michigan. It stands in western Lake Superior at the entry to the Keweenaw Waterway's Portage Lake Ship Canal. This lighthouse is significant in the local history of Houghton County. It qualifies for inclusion in the National Register under Criterion A. by exemplifying the long-term Federal government program to improve maritime safety on the Great Lakes through constructing aids to navigation. It also qualifies under Criterion C. for being a well-preserved example of middle twentieth century architectural design and engineering methods used in constructing offshore lighthouses in the Great Lakes. This property includes a steel caisson foundation, concrete fog signal building, and a steel light tower that exemplifies aspects of Streamlined Moderne design. Its period of historical significance begins in 1950 and ends in 1964, the most recent year of its operation 50 years before the present. The Keweenaw Waterway Upper Entrance Light possesses historic integrity in its design, setting, materials, workmanship, feeling, and association. It is widely recognized in Houghton County as a historical landmark.

My rig here is somewhat streamlined for my solo gig and contains the following:
- Apple 13" MBP - 8gb ram, 2.7Ghz i7, 500gb compact flash drive
- Ableton Live 8
- Novations AutoMap
- BT's StutterEdit
- 2 Novation LaunchPads and Nocturn
- Akai LPK25
Basically the LPads allow me to rearrange Session clips within Ableton on the fly as well as trigger scenes that I have tempo locked fx within Ableton. I love the LPads just because I can use them for anything ie./mixing, fx, or use the User 1&2 modes for anything with AutoMap. The Nocturn has multiple pages that allow me to get into specific fx parameters for some fun on the fly and controlling Ableton tempo, click and the odd thing that I like to hear in my phones. The little Akai is basically there for some stutter edit fun.
