This was one of many stray cats that we met during our time in Zadar. It was happily amusing itself trying to catch the plastic tape attached to the pole.
A lot of cats have been 'adopted' by the restaurants - or perhaps it's the other way round! These seem to thrive with guests, like us, giving them morsels from our meals to eat. Others appear to be doing OK too... We regularly saw a lady on her bicycle, laden with both wet and dry food that she dished out to individual cats every night. I also bought and handed out Dreamies (our cat's absolute favourite treat) to any cat that looked like it needed a little extra!
Stray Cat pretty fellow and hungry. Not sure if it is a male or female but my other cat Poo does not want this one around, but he got some food anyway, hopefully he will find his way home again. Shot in North Carolina.

Something strange is happening. Winter transforms into spring and back several times a day in the recent week. May be spring has lost the way.....
But it creates interesting views and possibilities for the photographers...

This is one of the stray cats in my neighbourhood that I have been feeding.It is shy & timid but since I have been feeding it I have been able to get a little closer, at least to photograph.

A group of singing Starlings rests on a bare tree in the dusk light.
They are spectacular when thousands of them fly together, forming dark clouds with incredible shapes.
Un piccolo stormo di Storni, colti in un momento di riposo e canto, mentre scende la sera.
Li avevo visti volare in maniera spettacolare sopra la città un paio di mesi fa, e mi ha sorpreso constatare che la loro "migrazione" si rivela poi essere poco più che una diffusione sul territorio regionale o zone limitrofe.

Stray cat at my barn. It's beginning to tame down a little and seems to get along well with the other four cats that live at the barn.
A stray kitten we met in the small village of Chomrong in the foothills of the Himalaya. This little fellow was hyperactive one minute then asleep the next!
